4 Online casino, - bingo and - scratch games The games were launched by Norsk Tipping to canalize Norwegian gamblers into a responsible and regulated Norwegian alternative These games have the same framework for responsible gambling, and many features / measures differ from other companies: - Mandatory to set personal loss limits prior to gambling - Loss limits can be set to maximum (NOK 4.000/ per day/month) - Mandatory use of Playscan (monitoring system) - Operator contacts gamblers at risk - No VIP programs - No welcome bonuses Many tools and measures are important, but this presentation is most about tools for loss limits

7 Key figures from the Norwegian regulated market For NT Interactive online games, most of the amount is wagered on casino games The introduction of regulated casino games have not led to reduction in other parts of the regulated market. 2015: We expected the participation and revenue in the unregulated online market to be stabilized or reduced in growth. 2016: Research data show stable participation for online casino games. 15 Conclusion The introduction of a regulated alternative with online casino seems to have canalized gambling Casino games are played by few The percentage of moderate risk - or problem gamblers (CPGI 3+) in Norway is mainly unchanged Casino games have a high percentage of gamblers at risk Casino games have nearly half the calls to national helpline for problem gamblers Therefore a great need of tools to prevent gambling problems More efficient prevention with mandatory use of tools Maximum loss limits are more for harm reduction than prevention, Most of the players set limits much lower than the maximum Players with an opinion on tools for loss limits are most often positive to the tools
