Faculty Todd Hughes, JD is a member of the Pension Consultants, Inc. executive team. He is responsible for Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), compliance and vendor services. Prior to joining Pension Consultants, he was a director for Panagiotu Pension Advisors, Inc., a 401(k) and retirement plan administration firm, providing services to approximately 1,200 plans in the greater pacific northwest area. He is a regular webinar presenter on ERISA and vendor management topics which provides fiduciary training to plan sponsors and fiduciaries. He has been quoted in numerous industry press publications including PLANADVISER s and PLANSPONSOR s online and print magazines. Todd has presented at regional and national conferences such as state SHRM conferences and PLANADVISER s national conference. Audrina Lange is the community outreach and resource planning specialist in the Little Rock District Office of the U.S. Department of Labor s Wage and Hour Division. She works to create a greater awareness of federal labor standards educating employers of their responsibilities and employees of their rights under the laws. Andrew Malahowski joined Arthur J. Gallagher & Company in 2014, after 12 years in private practice in employee benefits law and employment law. Andrew was previously a partner with an employment and benefits boutique law firm in Chicago, Illinois, where he represented both public and private sector employers in a broad range of employee benefits matters. His counseling experience includes the design, administration and drafting of employee benefit plans as well as counseled clients with respect to compliance obligations under ERISA, PPACA, COBRA, HIPAA and various other employee benefits laws and regulations. Stephen Spear, CRSP is the senior vice president with Pension Consultants, Inc., and is responsible for consulting with clients to assess retirement plan management needs and recommending appropriate solutions. He is also responsible for new client development. Stephen holds his Certified Retirement Services Professional (CRSP) designation and has over 30 years of retirement plan management experience. Prior to joining Pension Consultants, Inc., he served as vice president/regional sales for BMO Retirement Plan Services and as vice president/strategic relationship manager for JPMorgan. Jess Sweere is an attorney in the firm of Cross, Gunter, Witherspoon & Galchus, P.C., whose practice focuses on labor relations, employment, commercial and corporate, and transportation and governmental/municipal law. Jess entered the practice of law after 18 years as a manager in the trucking industry, working in both union and non-union environments. Jess is the chairman of the Academics Plus Charter School Board of Trustees, and also serves on the board of the Maumelle Foundation for Education, Inc. He is an active member of the American Bar Association (including the Labor and Employment section), Rotary Club of Maumelle, Central Arkansas Human Resources Association, Arkansas Bar Association, Pulaski County Bar Association, Transportation Law Association and the Arkansas Trucking Association. Jess has been named a Rising Star by Mid-South Super Lawyers for Jess received his undergraduate degree in transportation from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, and graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Bowen School of Law, where he was associate research editor of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Law Review and the Law Review Member of the Year ( ).

4 Conference Information All educational sessions will be held in the Rock Theater. Sponsors will be located in the Show Barn Hall and can start setting up on Thursday, October 13 at 10:30 a.m. Conference registration for attendees and sponsors will begin on Thursday, October 13 at 1:00 p.m. in the Show Barn Hall. Continuing Education All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance for Thursday and Friday. Continuing education has been applied for through the HR Certification Institute. Lodging The AHHRA Fall Conference will be held at The Winthrop Rockefeller Institute at Petit Jean Mountain, 1 Rockefeller Drive, Morrilton, Arkansas A block of sleeping rooms has been reserved for the night of Thursday, October 13, with room rates starting at $84.00 per night. All sleeping rooms are non-smoking. Directions to the Meeting Facility and Lodging from Little Rock From Interstate 40 take exit 108 at Morrilton. Take a left at the light onto Highway 9 Bypass and continue south toward Oppelo. Turn right onto Highway 154 and travel 7.3 miles to the top of Petit Jean Mountain. At the top, turn right at Winrock Drive and continue four miles. When you come to a closed gate, turn left onto Montgomery Trace for one mile. Take a right onto Rockefeller Drive at the rock sign and continue one mile until you reach another rock sign. Yield to the right and travel straight until you arrive at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute.
