May 2015 Investment opportunity With the transfer of assets in 2014 from Slovenian banks the Bank Asset Management Company ( BAMC ) became a major creditor of five Slovenian based companies which operate with Bio Power Plants. At this point BAMC is considering the disposal of the combined collateralized loan exposures in the selected five companies in the total amount of 49,1 million EUR. They are designed to generate electricity by using the methane produced by applying the methane fermentation treatment to food residues, excrement of livestock and crops. The mixture of inputs depends on the technology and process used in each individual power plant. The output of power plants are electricity, heat and compost briskets as fertilisers. 2 1. Bioplin Gjerkeš s.p. (sole trader) 1.1. The Company represents the following key investment opportunities: o Owns and operates 3 bio power plants, each with a capacity of 1 MW each (3 MW in total), located in the Pomurska region (north-eastern part of Slovenia); o Only two of the three power plants have permissions to operate, where the third one only has a building permit; o At this point the two operational power plants can reach a maximum capacity of 1,6 MW since the plants require additional investment in cables. The bio power plants require a mixture of 63% plant mixture (corn is optimal) and 37% of animal waste. Bioplin Vargazon d.o.o The Company represents the following key investment opportunities: o Owns and operates with 2 bio power plants with a capacity of 1,0 MW each (2 MW in total); o Both bio power plants are currently rented to a tenant; o The company has the permits to operate with 2 MW of capacity and environmental permits to input up to 149,3 tons of substrates per day. BIO FUTUR d.o.o The Company represents the following key investment opportunities: o The plant s location allows for profitable collection of organic waste from the Ljubljana, Trieste and Rijeka regions. o The availability of organic waste far exceeds the company s processing capacity; o The company has all the necessary permits for organic waste processing and has a well developed waste collection network in Slovenia (with the exception of Eastern Slovenia), North East Italy and also in North West Croatia. o Processing capacities: processing of organic waste tons/year electricity generation 1,1 MW surplus heat generation bio fertiliser production 164 m3/day 3.2.
