B-I-C are focusing on consumer segmentation, building trusted brands and offering convenient multi-channel customer access to win new business. Many insurers limit to enhancing existing home grown back office systems to maintain performance and compliance. B-I-C are investing in IT facilitated service management around robust core systems to achieve high levels of process automation (up to 70%). Still much attention on cost cutting in all aspects of the business, down sizing staff and reactive compliance B-I-C are re-defining business lines based on customer segments and eliminating redundant management layers and are investing in new markets and products for capturing market share. B-I-C are using the regulatory drive to enhance enterprise control and related reporting. Investments are made to enable sustainable transparency and knowledge.
