24 ABA TIPS Scope & Correlation Committee Checklist for Scope Liaisons to General Committees Initial Contact Contact GC leaders for introductions and to answer general questions Identify any problems, concerns, needs, expectations, etc. Discuss handbook and review briefly their responsibilities over the year, e.g. ABC Forms, Score Sheet, attendance at GCB and orientation, etc. Exchange contact information Meetings Meet with GC leaders at Fall and Spring Orientation roundtable sessions to review Criteria for Successful Committees, Score sheet and other items of interest Stop in or attend GC in person business meetings quarterly at TIPS meetings Attend occasional GC teleconferences as appropriate or necessary Remind GC leaders to attend Scope Committee meetings as requested Meet with GC leaders at Annual meeting to review committee status and performance and to identify any areas of concern or opportunity going forward. Confirm Chairs and Chairs-Elect have viewed 2 Orientation Webinars available on the Leadership Portal Strategic Planning Sessions Contact GC leaders about up-coming strategic planning sessions and answer questions Attend Strategic Planning Session if possible Follow-up with GC leaders about strategic planning and get copy of plan report Reporting Remind GC leaders about report due dates [Forms A (December 15), B (February 15), C (May 15)] and get copies Get draft GC Score sheet by Mid-year, update by Spring and final before Annual meetings Activities Keep current on GC activities, events, projects, newsletters, programs, etc. in order to provide information for Scope review, evaluation and awards consideration
