2 Major brokers of PII The following is an alphabetically ordered contact list of major brokers in the market for solicitors' professional indemnity insurance (PII). These brokers were identified as part of the Law Society's annual PII survey, and they are the most popular, in terms of the proportion of firms that contacted them (see Appendix). Most of the insurers offering solicitors' PII can only be approached via an insurance broker, and some insurers have exclusive relationships with particular brokers. While some brokers will tell you their market access up front, others will only disclose such information on request, so we recommend that you ask your broker for further details.
