1 The JUNO Awards ROCK YOUR GEAR CONTEST CONTEST RULES The JUNO Awards Rock Your Gear CONTEST IS INTENDED TO BE CONDUCTED IN CANADA ONLY (EXCLUDING QUEBEC) AND SHALL ONLY BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO CANADIAN LAW. THE CONTEST IS OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF CANADA ONLY EXCLUDING QUEBEC. VOID IN WHOLE OR PART WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. ENTRY IN THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CONTEST RULES. NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY. 1. DEADLINES FOR ENTRY. The Contest begins at 8:00 a.m. E.T. on Thursday, February 20, 2014 and closes at Friday March 14, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. E.T. (the "Contest Period"). 2. HOW TO ENTER. There is no purchase necessary to enter the Contest. You may enter by either: (a) Twitter. a fun photo of yourself wearing your official JUNO Revival T-shirt (your tweet must in the body of your tweet). JUNO Awards Revival gear may be purchased at the online Kill the 8 merch. co. ( Kill the 8 ) store at The Kill the 8 store is not operated by CARAS. Gear purchased through Kill the 8 is subject to the terms and conditions of its website and its sale policies. Personal information that you provide to Kill the 8 when purchasing your gear is subject to Kill the 8 s privacy policy. To enter through Twitter, you must be a registered user of Twitter and must be following CARAS Twitter Registration on Twitter.com is free and can be done by following the onscreen instructions at Twitter.com to register. Toronto, Ontario M5V 1R5 Attention: The JUNO Awards Rock Your Gear Contest Limit of one (1) mail-in entry per envelope. The essay accompanying each entry must be original to the entrant and unique (i.e. the same essay may not submitted more than once). All entries become the property of The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences ( CARAS or Sponsor ) and none will be returned. All entries must be received by no later than 11:59 pm. E.T. on Friday March 14, 2014 (the Closing Date ). Illegible, incomplete, late or garbled entries will be disqualified. No entries will be accepted by any other means. 3. ELIGIBILITY. (a) The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada only, who are at least 13 years of age or older at the time of entry, excluding residents of Quebec. Employees of CARAS ("Sponsor"), its affiliates, subsidiaries, related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, and their immediate family or persons with whom they are domiciled, are not eligible to participate in the Contest. This Contest is void where prohibited by law. Sponsor shall have the right at any time to require proof of identification and/or eligibility to participate in the Contest. Failure to provide such proof within a reasonable period of time could result in disqualification. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry or entrant in its sole discretion, should any entry or entrant at any stage supply untruthful, incomplete, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information. All decisions of Sponsor will be final and binding and may not be challenged in any way. By entering this Contest, entrant (or his/her parent/legal guardian, if a minor) acknowledges compliance with, and agrees to be bound by, these Contest Rules. An entrant under the age of majority in his/her province of residence must have a parent or legal guardian consent to his/her participation. Proof of identification and parental consent must be provided upon request. If a parent or legal guardian does not provide consent, or if proof of identification cannot obtained the entry will be disqualified. The contact information collected by Sponsor with your entry will only be used to award and fulfill the contest prizes and to administer the contest, and in accordance with CARAS s Privacy Policy. Sponsor will not use this personal information for any other reason and will not otherwise disclose this personal information to any other party (except as necessary to prize suppliers in order to award and fulfill the contest prizes). Limit of one (1) entry per day per person. Only one address and account may be used by any person to enter the Contest. In the event that Sponsor receives more than one (1) entry per person per day, via either posting on Twitter, or by regular mail, for the duration of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right to void and reject multiple or duplicate entries and that entrant may, at the discretion of Sponsor, be disqualified from the Contest.

3 3 (d) (e) Should it be discovered that an entrant is using the aid of computer programs to auto-fill entries, that entrant will be immediately disqualified from the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify all such contestants from future contests conducted by Sponsor without further notice. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an address, the winning entry will be deemed to be made by the authorized account holder of the address at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned an address by an Internet service provider or other organization responsible for assigning addresses for the domain associated with the address in question. 4. THE DRAW. Winners will be selected as follows: (a) A random draw will be held at or around 12:00 P.M. E.T. on Saturday March 15, 2014 at CARAS s office located at 345 Adelaide Street West, 2nd Floor, Toronto, Ontario, from all eligible entries received on or before the contest Closing Date. There will be 1 prize draw in total. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received by any of the methods of entry. Many will enter, few will win. The odds of being selected as a potential winner are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received. Before being declared a winner, entrant will be required to answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question and to comply with all the Contest Rules. Selected entrants will be notified by telephone or or by direct message through their Twitter account (if their selected entry was via Twitter) within five (5) days of the draw. Selected entrants will then have five (5) days following receipt thereof to contact CARAS and provide requested documentation to claim their prize. Should CARAS not receive confirmation within five (5) days, or should a selected entrant be unable to correctly answer the skill testing question or complete a declaration and release by the date specified, the selected entrant will be deemed to have forfeited any rights to the prize and an alternate entrant will be selected from the same manner by random draw taken from the same pool of entries, in which event, the foregoing provisions of this sentence shall also apply to such other eligible entry. CARAS is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of selected entrant to receive notification or for CARAS to receive a selected potential winner s response. In order to be declared a winner, a selected entrant will be required to execute a legal agreement and release ( Release ) that confirms his or her: (i) eligibility for the Contest and compliance with these Contest Rules; (ii) acceptance of the prize as offered; and (iii) releases Sponsor, and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, licensors, employees, directors, officers, suppliers, prize suppliers, agents and/or sponsors from any manner of actions, causes of actions, suits, debts, dues, accounts, bonds, covenants, contracts, claims, demands and/or liability (including reasonable outside solicitor fees and legal costs) for loss, harm, damages, cost or expense, including without limitation costs, injuries, accidents, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties without limitation; and (iv) grant to Sponsor of the unrestricted right, in Sponsor s discretion, to publish without any further compensation the name, picture, portrait, likeness, audio-video recording, interview, voice and ideas and any web site dissemination or broadcast thereof of entrant for advertising and promotional purposes. The executed Release must be returned within five (5) business days of the notification or the selected entrant will

If the selected entrant is minor his/her parent/legal guardian must sign the Release on his/her behalf in order for the selected entrant to claim his/her prize. All prize taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the winner. Limit one (1) prize per person or household Prizes. There is one (1) prize available to be won consisting of a JUNO Award prize package (the Prize ) that includes the following: two (2) admission tickets for the Prize winner (the Winner ) and his/her guest (the Guest ) to the JUNO Awards Broadcast taking place on March 30, 2014 at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. one (1) $50 hmv gift card courtesy of hmv Canada round-trip economy airfare for the Winner and his/her Guest leaving together from the same gateway from a major Canadian International airport closest to the Winner s home to Winnipeg, Manitoba, including cost of flight, taxes, airport duties, and any other administration costs to be determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. Should Winner live within two hundred kilometres (200km) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, this portion of the Prize shall be omitted and no other transportation shall be provided three (3) nights accommodation standard double occupancy courtesy of Delta Winnipeg. The total approximate retail value of the Prize is: CAD$ Winner and his/her Guest must be available to participate in the above JUNO Award associated activities and travel on the above dates, from March 28th through March 31, Should Winner and/or Guest be unable to attend on the dates and times designated by the Sponsor, the Prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Winner and Guest will be responsible for (without limitation) all travel and accommodation, transportation to and from any JUNO associated event, taxes, gratuities, meals and beverages and any other expense not explicitly included in the Prize. Guests must comply with the Contest Rules and sign and return the Release (described below). Winner and Guest must at all times behave appropriately when attending JUNO Award associated activities and observe the Contest Rules and any other rules or regulations in force at the events and/or venue locations. The Sponsor reserves the right to remove from the venue location, any Winner and/or Guest who breaks such rules and/or fails to behave appropriately and to disqualify such Winner and/or Guest. The Prize is awarded solely to the Winner. Guests do not have any rights to the Prize independent of the Winner, and may not travel without the Winner. (a) Sponsor or its appointed designee shall deliver the prize to the winner within 10 days after the winner has been successfully contacted and notified of their prize and has complied with all Contest Rules and requirements. All prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute any and all of any prize for another prize of equal or greater value should all or part of the Prize become unavailable for any reason. 6. GENERAL CONDITIONS.

5 5 (a) All entries become property of the Sponsors upon receipt and will not be returned and no correspondence will be entered into except with selected entrants. Any attempt to damage deliberately the Contest Website or any related website, or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, incomplete, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way. 7. INDEMNIFICATION BY ENTRANTS. By entering the Contest, entrant (a) releases and holds harmless Sponsor, Twitter, Kill the 8 merch co. and their respective directors, officers, employees, parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, related companies, suppliers, sponsors and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to entrant or any other person, including personal injury, death, or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from or in connection with acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, participation in this Contest, any breach of these Contest Rules, or in any prize-related activity; and agrees to fully indemnify Sponsor and its respective directors, officers, employees, parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, related companies, licensors, suppliers, sponsors, prize suppliers and agents from any and all claims by third parties relating to the Contest, without limitation. 8. CONDUCT. By entering this Contest, Entrants agree to be bound by these Contest Rules, which will be available on the Contest Website throughout the Contest Period. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant it finds to be: (a) violating the Contest Rules; tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, the Contest Website; violating the terms of service, conditions or use and/or general rules or guidelines of property or service or the contest website; or (d) acting in an unsportsman-like or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DAMAGE DELIBERATELY THE CONTEST WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. 9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. Sponsor assumes no responsibility or liability for lost, late, misdirected or incomplete entries, notifications, responses, replies, or any Release or for any computer, online, telephone, hardware, software or technical malfunctions that may occur (including but not limited to malfunctions that may affect the transmission or nontransmission of an entry). Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems, failures or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, providers, computer equipment, software, , players, or browsers, on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, at any website, or on account of any combination of the foregoing. Sponsor is not responsible for any injury or damage to entrants or to any computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in this Contest. If the Contest cannot be conducted as planned for any reason, including reasons beyond the control of the Sponsor,

6 6 Sponsors reserve the right in their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest and the Sponsor reserves the right in their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. Entrants assume liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participating in the contest, or by the acceptance, possession, use of, or failure to receive any prize. 10. RELEASE / PRIVACY / USE OF APPLICANT INFORMATION. By entering this Contest, entrant agrees to (a) use of entrant's personal information and other information by the Sponsor for the purposes of administering the Contest and awarding and fulfilling prizes, and as set out in these Contest Rules; execute a Release as described in the these Contest Rules; comply with any applicable Terms of Use, requirements or policies of the website; and (d) comply and agree with these Contest Rules. Entrant's personal information will not be provided to any third parties, other than as provided for in these Contest Rules. Entrants further grant Sponsor the right to use and publish their proper name, city and province of residence in any media, in connection with the Contest. By accepting a prize, winners grant permission to Sponsor to use their names, photograph, likeness, voice, prize information, city of residence and/or biographical information for publicity and promotional purposes without further compensation unless prohibited by law. 11. WINNERS LIST. A list of winners will be available from Sponsor upon request, subject to privacy considerations. 12. TERMINATION. Sponsors reserve the right to amend or terminate all or any portion of this Contest at any time for any reason without prior notice. 13. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY. All intellectual property and all of the promotional materials, web pages and source code are owned by Sponsors and/or their affiliates. All rights are reserved. Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted material or trade marks without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited. JUNO, JUNO Awards, JUNO Cup, JUNO Fan Fare, JUNOfest, JUNO Songwriters Circle and JUNO Award and related marks are trade-marks and/or registered trade-marks of The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. 14. LAWS. These are official Contest Rules. This Contest is subject to federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. These Contest rules are subject to change without notice in order to comply with any applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over the Sponsor CARAS.
