1 QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE TO CARRIER APPETITES, DISCOUNTS, UNDERWRITING AND SELLING FEATURES

2 We re pulling the curtains back so you can see what our independent carriers target appetites are. Being an independent agent gives you a lot of options but it s important that you know the differences between carriers. You can use this guide to help you sell and to quickly identify which carrier is the best fit for each client.

3 PREFERRED PERSONAL LINES CARRIER APPETITE CHEAT SHEET CARRIERS: AAA, AIG, CSE, Encompass, Kemper, Mercury, MetLife, National General, Nationwide, Pekin, Progressive, Safeco, State Auto, Travelers. EXCEPTIONS: AIG & Encompass are for the Affluent Market, only packaged business. Home values from 400K to 2 Million. Travelers and Nationwide will write mono-line property. PREFERRED AUTOMOBILE APPETITE: A) Clean driving records and clean claim history for the past 12 months, and no more than one minor in 36 months. B) BI limits need to be at least 50/100. The majority of BI limits should be 100/300. C) Prior preferred carrier with 50/100 minimum limits. D) No prior non-standard insurance or state minimum limits. E) Full coverage accounts. F) UM/UIM equal to Bodily Injury limits. G) All insured autos must be owned by and registered to the policyholder. H) No lapse in coverage. I) Packaged homeowners policy. PREFERRED PROPERTY APPETITE: A) No more than one weather-related loss in the past 5 years. B) The property must be located in protection class 1-8. C) Homes well maintained reflecting pride of ownership and in good condition. D) No coastal or prior uninsured properties. E) Packaged automobile policy. F) No unsupported Secondary, Seasonal, or Dwelling Fire business. G) No brushfire zones or exposure to catastrophic loss areas. H) Older homes require updates to the electric and plumbing systems. I) Roofs show no wear or tear.

Electric Vehicle/ Hybrid Vehicle Discount Encompass Will write high value homes up to 1.5 Million Mercury Occupation Discount gives a discount depending on the field/job category Education Discount gives a discount for higher education Electric Vehicle National General Professional Driver Discount applies to any rated driver that has a commercial driver license and performs a job using the commercial driver licenses over 15,000 miles a year Progressive Offers Ride-Share driver endorsement in select states Safeco- Offers Ride-Share driver endorsement in select states Telematics device is only installed for 30 days, discount remains for the life of the policy. Travelers Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Discount

Once minimum requirements are met, IPA will submit Agency for a direct sub code appointment. 2. Direct Quoting & Binding: Agency quotes directly on carrier's site and binds the business themselves. 3. ACORD Submissions: Agency completes ACORD forms and submits them to Support@InsuranceProAgencies.com. IPA's Support Center will provide a quote back to the Agency. 4. National Sales Team (NST): Agency submits IPA's commercial submission form found on the membership site. IPA will review & forward to a carrier with an appetite and a NST to make the sale. 5. Quick Quote Form: Agency completes a quick quote form found on the membership site and submits it to Support@InsuranceProAgencies.com.
