Name Checks A charge for undertaking names checks as provided by external parties to ensure that there is no conflict with existing or retired MPS personnel. An administration charge is made in respect of the provision of this service. 4-hour rate (based on band) minimum + Admin charges where more than 30 minutes devoted to request A fee of 10 per name in within a request. There is an administration charge of 20 for 1 to 20 name checks and a further 20 administration fee thereafter for each further 20 checks which is capped at an administration fee total of 60 for those occasions when a request has been received to undertake name checks of more than 60. * The Basic Price applies where the request will be in respect of the issue of a standard Intellectual Property licence of 5 years duration. A request for a licence in perpetuity will be subject to an increase of 50%. Other variables which may impact upon the charge (i.e. number of trademarks to be used or number of scenes / episodes that the trade mark will feature) are taken into account when providing a quote to a third party. Increasing the scope of the licence to include worldwide rights will double the Basic Price. ** The Price charged to Production companies will be revised by the Production Licensing Calculator used for this purpose and not by any of the Basic Rate considerations above Page 14 of 15
