State Costs for Local Assessment Office Counties will contribute 90% of State s costs for two years ; And then 50% thereafter.; Total additional cost to Washington County is $914,000 Housing Market Housing indicators are starting to show upward trends; Forecasting the last largest decrease in re-assessment in 2011.

9 2012 Public Safety Funding Proposed Operational Budgets $ 35,303,690 $ Increase 832,390 % Increase 2.41% Key Points: Increase in Workers Compensation with new participant requirements of $308,000; First year for radio communication system operating costs of $400,000; Increased cost for inmate medical and food costs of $52,000.
10 2012 Capital Funding Issues Proposed Pay-go Budget $ 2,715,000 $ Decrease (1,785,000) % Decrease (39.67)% Major projects such as road overlay program and school capital maintenance projects were cut; Program reflects $185 millions in reductions from submission requests; Debt ceiling was lowered from $16 to $14 million.
