3 The LOGFRAME MATRIX is a participatory Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation tool whose power depends on the degree to which it incorporates the full range of views of intended beneficiaries and others who have a stake in the program design. It is a tool for summarising the key features of a project and is best used to help project designers and stakeholders 3

4 LFA is a systematic planning procedure for a complete project cycle management It is a problem solving approach which takes into account the views of all stakeholders It also agrees on the criteria for project success and lists the major assumptions 4

It is a tool that allow you to measure the operational objectives and performance of the project, monitor every stage of the project. give brief information about the quality, quantity, time and place of intervention. How Does It Benefit? Clarify overall objectives, the project purpose and the results of the characteristics. Allow you to manage projects more objective manner. Form a basis for performance measurement, monitoring and evaluation. 15

16 Sources of Verification Verification Resources are documents, reports, and other resources that will provide the necessary information for controlling the indicators Verification resources should also be specified simultaneously with the identification of indicators. Verification resources should provide the following information : Format for information to be provided (ex: progress reports, project accounts, project records, official statistics etc.) Who will provide information Which frequency the information will be provided (ex: monthly, quarterly, annually, etc.) 16
