Lavers, Assistant County Executive Date: October 24, 2013 RE: Agenda Item Circuit Court/County Clerk Budget Amendment Attached you will find documentation and a resolution from Jennifer Phillips, Court Administrator, to transfer $2,215 from the 2013 Circuit Court Budget to the 2013 County Clerk Budget to provide funding for clerk staff overtime for court-related work. 3 2 Resolution to: RESOLUTION Transfer $2,215 from the 2013 Circuit Court Budget to the 2013 County Clerk Budget to provide funding for clerk staff overtime for court-related work. Jennifer Phillips, Court Administrator Additional Background Information (If Needed): This will reduce the Circuit Court Budget Special Project line item by $2,215 and increase the County Clerk Personnel Overtime Salary and Fringe line items by $2,215. This transfer will allow for approximately 60 hours of overtime spread among 10 different Clerk court section employees. Committee Meeting Date
4 3 10/03/2013 Date Office of County Executive County of Macomb One South Main, gth Floor Mount Clemens, Ml Macomb County Circuit Court REQUEST APPROVAL/ ADOPTION OF Budget Transfer To County Clerk SUBJECT: Authorize the transfer of $2,215 from the 2013 Circuit Court Budget to the 2013 County Clerk Budget l IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT. THE EXECUTIVE SUBMIT TO THE BOARD: A resolution to transfer funding in the 2013 budget from the Circuit Court Cost center to the County Clerk Cost center. PURPOSE I JUSTIFICATION: Staff in the Clerk's office need to attend training related to the new E-filing procedures being implemented by the Circuit Court. These staff members will then need to work overtime in order to avoid creating a backlog of court-related work at the County Clerk's office. The Court is willing to cover this extra overtime cost in the budget. FISCAL IMPACT I FINANCING: This will reduce the Circuit Court budget Special Project line item by $2,215 and increase the County Clerk Personnel Overtime and Fringe Benefit line items by the same. This transfer will allow for 60 hours of overtime spread among 10 different Clerk court section employees.

Lavers, Assistant County Executive Date: October 24, 2013 RE: Agenda Item Mental Health Court Budget Increase Attached you will find documentation and a resolution from Jennifer Phillips, Court Administrator, to authorize the increase in the FY2014 budgeted State revenues and expenditures of the Macomb County Mental Health Court in the amount of $108,370 to account for the final amount awarded by the Michigan Mental Health Court Grant Program, which was not included in the FY2014 budget adopted by the Board of Commissioners in September, The Mental Health Court will offer sentencing alternative to incarcerations where treatment and close monitoring will take place for persons with severe and persistent Axis 1 diagnoses. Actual expenditures for 2013 are projected to be approximately $27,000, very much in line with the average spend of $33,850 for the years The budget for 2013 is $17,848, which was lowered from previous year levels.
