Recalls that Article 8 of the Treaty of the Functioning of the European Union firmly establishes that "In all its activities, the Union shall aim to eliminate inequalities, and to promote equality, between men and women" and that, therefore, the Union has a duty to mainstream gender equality in all its policies, guaranteeing that men and women benefit equally from social changes, economic growth and the creation of decent jobs, doing away with discrimination and promoting respect for women's rights in the world; in this regard calls on the Commission for the inclusion of Gender chapters in all the newly negotiated trade agreements and to provide the necessary resources for their implementation; AM\ docx 15/15 PE v01-00
