4 MICHEAL FECHT I am a life-long Nebraskan, growing up in Axtell, just south of Kearney. I attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney, earning a degree in Business Administration with an Emphasis in Real Estate. While a student, I went to work at Platte Valley State Bank as a part-time mortgage shipper and processor. After graduating from UNK in 1992, I went to work for First National Bank of Omaha as a mortgage processor. I became a Loan Originator in 1994, doing residential refinances and purchases. In 1998 I became a producing Sales Manager, with six Loan Officers in the Omaha market. In 2011, I became a Regional Sales Manager, the position I hold today. I am responsible for retail branch and loan production office originations for all First National Bank locations in Omaha, Lincoln, Iowa, Kansas, and Texas. I manage five Sales Managers and have a total of 35 Loan Officers in my region. I have been in the residential mortgage business for twenty six years, performing most of the job functions within the origination business including, processing, closing, shipping, and origination. Over the years, I have been a member of the Nebraska Mortgage Association, Omaha Area Board of Realtors, Metro Omaha Builders Association, and the Omaha Women s Council of Realtors. I have been on the Board of the Nebraska Mortgage Association for the last six years, serving as its President in In 2016, while serving as the Vice President, I attended the National Mortgage Association Advocacy Conference in Washington, D.C. While there, I represented our industry and lobbied our elected officials on issues important to our industry. I would welcome the opportunity to once again serve on the Board of the Nebraska Mortgage Association, providing whatever assistance I can to promote responsible mortgage lending in our state and furthering the education of tomorrow s mortgage professionals.
