3 Exercise 2: What s the word? (4-5 minutes) Read the following dialog with your tutor and try to use context clues to fill in the blanks with the most appropriate word. You can find the missing word from the pool of words at the bottom. Ms. Campbell is having a transaction with a bank teller. Teller: Good morning, Ma am. Welcome to International Savers Bank. How may I help you? Ms. Campbell: Hello. Good Morning. I would like to make a to my account. Teller: Ok ma am. May I ask what kind of do you have with our bank? Ms. Campbell: I have an existing savings account. Teller: Will it be cash or deposit? Ms. Campbell: I will deposit a cheque to my account. Here are my account details and my identification card. Teller: Thank you, Ma am. We have already validated the cheque. The amount will be added to your bank account in an hour. Ms. Campbell: Yes, thank you very much for your help. GRAMMAR REVIEW: Topic: Verb Tenses Part II (Basic Future Tense) (5-6 minutes) General Description: The basic future tense of the verb is used for actions that have not yet happened and will occur in the future. e.g. I will receive my salary next week. The company will open a new corporate bank account. My boss told me that he will allow me to take a vacation next month. Remember: The basic future tense of the verb is made by adding the auxiliary will before the main verb. For negative sentences in the future tense, the word not is added between the auxiliary and main verb. Examples: Basic Future Tense-Positive Auxiliary Main Verb She will go to the bank tomorrow I will transfer money to my mother s bank account. Basic Future Tense- Negative( Auxiliary Negative Main Verb My coworker will not apply for a loan because of the high interest rate. They will not give a salary increase to its employees this year.
