2 FOREWORD The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) Subregional Headquarters for the Caribbean/secretariat for the Caribbean Development and Cooperation Committee (CDCC) takes pleasure in presenting the tenth volume of the Major Statistical Publications Abstracts. This publication is a one stop for information on all statistical publications currently produced and/or in circulation by all ECLAC/CDCC member countries. Every effort has been made to ensure that the information in this publication is as comprehensive, clear and up to date as limitations of time and space allow. In order to maximize use to the researcher, each publication is documented using five key fields which include the title of the publication, the publisher, the ISSN number, the frequency of the publication and a brief abstract of the publication s contents. To safeguard against the exclusion of publications from non-english speaking countries, a field called language has been included in this year s publication. The language field specifies the available languages in which those publications are produced. The websites for the national statistical offices, central banks and other official sources within each country are supplied to facilitate electronic access to the publications documented in this Abstract. This year s issue also features two new countries: Cayman Islands and Turks and Caicos Islands. The ECLAC/CDCC secretariat acknowledges the goodwill and cooperation of the statistical offices in our member countries, as well as the various central banks and ministries, in providing the updates and other basic information for this publication. An electronic version of this publication can be downloaded from the ECLAC/CDCC Homepage under the section Publications. ii
