2 Our specialist motoring law team have a reputation for their vast knowledge and their exceptional advocacy skills which has developed when representing multiple clients charged with a Road Traffic Act offence. This is evident by the team regularly receiving instructions from national law firms who specialise in this area of law. 4 Angela Wrottesley Angela has a wealth of experience when it comes to cases where a client has been charged with a road traffic offence. Her recent work includes representing clients with speeding offences, drink and drugs related offences and driving with no insurance. She is fully verse in special reasons and has on numerous occasions been able to assist the client in retaining their license. Angela's other experience includes offences relating to the use of a mobile phone, failure to stop or report an accident and appeals. 5 Robert Sandford Robert is a specialist criminal law barrister who has acted on behalf of defendants charged with offences of causing death by dangerous driving, speeding, driving under the influence of drink or drugs and using a mobile phone. He has a proven track record for securing the best result possible for his clients, especially so where their license is their livelihood. 7 Kevin Jones Kevin is a specialist criminal barrister who initially qualified as a solicitor before being called to the bar in His experience of working as a solicitor for a number of years gave him valuable insight into how cases are prepared and presented. His motoring law experience covers all types of matters that include, but are not limited to, speeding, dangerous driving including death, drink and drugs and appeals. 8 Richard Veni Richard joins chambers having been a fully qualified duty solicitor and solicitor advocate at a specialist firm of solicitors in the Manchester region. Having qualified as a solicitor in 2009 Richard has built a strong understanding of criminal law and procedure appearing before magistrates' and Crown Courts on a regular basis, particularly following him obtaining his Higher Rights of Audience in 2011 His experience as a solicitor means that he has personal knowledge of every stage of a prosecution from the initial police station call to the conclusion of a case in Court. 9 Chris Aspinall Chris qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and attained his Higher Rights of Audience in 2004 and worked for one of the leading criminal law firms in. He was called to the bat in 2008 whereupon he joined chambers. He undertakes work in all matters relating to road traffic offences including but not limited to speeding, driving under the influence of drink and drugs, failing to stop or report an accident, dangerous driving, use of mobile phones and disqualifications. 10 David Horne David prides himself on being able to secure the best outcome for his clients through meticulous preparation of a case and unrivalled knowledge of motoring law. Success has been his main driving force which is demonstrated by his track record of securing reductions in length of bans or assisting the client in being allowed to keep their license. He undertakes all types of road traffic offences but with specific expertise in speeding and the accumulation of points. 12 Rachael Hughes Rachael's practice is growing steadily. She joined us having worked for the Serious Fraud Office as both a Paralegal and Criminal Investigator in the Proceeds of Crime and Bribery and Corruption Departments. This experience saw her becoming involved with the investigation of highly politically sensitive cases that spanned several jurisdictions. Notably, investigating and analysing financial records to identify the operation, participants and victims of suspected economic crime. Called: 2011 Prior to joining the SFO, Rachael was a Paralegal at Cartwright King Solicitors working within their Criminal Department. She specialised in both prosecution and defence work, acting as a fee earner on defence cases, whilst also overseeing private prosecutions on behalf of the Royal Mail. She has a wealth of experience of advocacy having taken part in numerous mooting competitions. 13 Rosemary Kavanagh Rosemary successfully completed her pupillage and accepted an offer of tenancy in In the Crown Court, Rosemary has appeared in cases of dangerous driving, including causing serious injury. She is also regularly instructed to appeal both convictions and sentence. Appearing as defence Counsel in the Magistrates Court, she has gained a wealth of experience defending trials for drink and drug driving, careless driving, speeding and failure to furnish information. She has an excellent understanding of the legal technicalities involved in such trials.
