4 COAL INDIA LTD: Hl GH LIGHTS 2OL7.L8 1.. ln the year zol7-lg, 5g0.3 Mtof coal has been made available to consumers(highest ever), an increase of about 7% as compared to MT in 2OL6-17 ' z. ln a unique synergy with lndian Railways, CIL supplied a record MT of coal, an alltime high coal supply to the power sector in 2OL7-L8, representing a growth of about 7%. CIL had supplied MT in 2OL6-t7. 3. Supply of coal to Non power sector in 2oL7-L8 is Mt (highest ever), against last year LL7.g Mt, indicating a growth of 7.L%. 4 Recorded rakes loading in a day on 28th March and 3Lst March 2OL8. 5. A sterling performance, CIL has produced MT (highest ever) of coal in 2o\7-18 as compared to MT in 2OL6-L7. 6. Capital expenditure in ZOLT-L8 is Rs 8697 Cr against the target of Rs 8500 Cr, thus achieving the Lo2.3% of the target. This is the first time the company has exceeded the CAPEX target. 7. Highest production in a day to the tune of 3.L Mil1 T on OL8; with contributions from ccl (0.723 Mt); SECL (0.638 Mt) and MCL (0.664 Mt) 8. Highest offtake in a day of the order of 2.oL Mill T on Achieved production of Mill T (highest ever) in a month during Mar'L8 10. Achieved 11,g4.64 MCum of overburden removal (OBR) durin g 2oL7-L8 (highest ever), against last Year ( MCum). LL. Besides ensuring highest coal production, which has a direct bearing on the flow of revenue to comp?ry, Coal inventory as on oL8 stands at Mt against LY Mt, thereby resulting into liquidation of Mt.!2. Five new projects with an annual capacity of MTY and a sanctioned capital of Rs 4427.z1crores were approved by CIL and its subsidiaries during 2Ot7-L Five projects with annual capacity MTY per annum with a sanctioned capital of Rs crores were completed during 2OL7-L8 till Feb'18' L4. 11 coal blocks have been allotted to Coal lndia Ltd. in its subsidiaries, ECL, BCCL and WCL' These new blocks will help them to produce more than 100 MTA each' 1,

5 15. CIL obtained 21 environment clearances with a total EC of MTA in the year 20L7-18. This will add about 43 MT to the annual production capacity of CIL during 2OL8-L9. 1,6. ln order to customize coal and to meet customer requirements, CIL commissioned two coking coal washeries in BCCL in the year 2Ot7-18. L7. CIL has commissioned two major rail infrastructure projects, Tori-Balumath section in Tori - Shivpur division under jurisdiction of CCL and Jharsuguda- Barpali- Sardega section under jurisdiction of MCL which were built on coal deposit basis and are now operational. 18. Two new CHP's with Rapid Loading System in Khadia 6 MTPA CHP/RLS, NCL and Bharatpur 15 MTPA CHP/RLS in MCL have been commissioned during 2OL7-L To synergize its operational processes and further facilitate effective decision making, work order for ERP implementation in CIL is likely to be issued by May'18. ZO. A draft Vision 2030 document is being finalized with the Subsidiaries, Ministry of Coal & stakeholders in order to make a road map and a way forward for ClL. 2
