3 NIFTY OVERVIEW Nifty had a dream run in the month of January Positive international cues, falling dollar, quarterly results beating street estimates, positive FII inflows, etc. lead to a strong rise in Nifty. In the process, Nifty has broken several major resistances viz. 50 dma, 200 dma and a downward sloping trendline drawn from the top. The break of the trendline, technically, suggests trend reversal and is quite important in that sense. A break of 5400 (spot Nifty) would confirm a new high and uptrend. For Nifty, thus are major hurdles on the upside and on the down side supports lie at

4 BANK NIFTY OVERVIEW Bank Nifty has strongly surprised on the upside throughout last one month or so. It gave a strong five week upside on back of strong quarterly results.
