1 Daily Market Insights 09 th January 2019 es743 u Key benchmark indices extended gains for third straight trading session led by gains in ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, ITC and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries.Trading was volatile. After opening lower, key indices bounced back and hit fresh intraday high in morning trade.indices turned flat in early afternoon trade. Market firmed up once again in late trade. The Nifty 50 gained than points and settled at PSU Banks were the major gainer and Media sector were the major loser of the day. Nifty Global Markets Overseas, European shares were trading higher, rebounding from the previous session.stocks in Asia traded mixed as investors wait for the second day of US-China trade talks to kick off later in the day. China is reportedly willing to resolve its trade disputes with the US on an equal footing. US stocks on Monday closed higher, building on Friday's powerful rally. 2 Stock Snippets Endurance Technologies share prices spurged 0.38% after the company's subsidiary acquired the entire equity stake in Fonpresmetal, an aluminum die casting company in Italy. Prabhat Dairy rose 3% after the company announced that it has entered in comprehensive animal nutrition business. Bandhan Bank, announced that it will buy Gruh Finance, a subsidiary of HDFC Ltd, in a share swap deal amounting to Rs20,855cr. The amalgamation scheme is subject to approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) as well as the shareholders. Exide Industries - made annoucement that the company is about to invest up to 30% equity stake in Cleantech aggregating to Rs20.05cr for setting up captive solar power projects for various manufacturing facilities Lupin announced that the European Commission (EC) has approved its novel, rare disorder drug NaMuscla. Cadila Healthcare informed that it has received approval from the USFDA to market Aripiprazole Tablets USP. Global Markets Australia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as in the sectors led shares.at the close in Sydney, the S&P/ASX 200 unchanged 0.00% to hit a new 1-month high. China stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Life Insurance, Media and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares lower.at the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite declined 0.26%. Japan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Warehousing, Marine Transport and Steel sectors led shares higher. At the close in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 added 0.82%.
