7 Dedicated TPA website Our eaccess website gives you real-time access to plan and participant account activity, reports, plan-level investment performance, and much more. You may also elect to set up alerts through our TPA website. Features and functions eaccess offers features and functions to speed processing and administration. Downloading routine reports is convenient to support TPA recordkeeping and reporting. If you would like your fee to be deducted from plan accounts, our online fee deduction form allows you to indicate the frequency and amount and we take care of the rest. 8 Investment flexibility We understand the importance of selecting investments that are appropriate for each retirement plan. We offer access to a robust selection of investment options that allow you to customize your retirement plan. No proprietary variable investment requirements Our Fixed Interest and Stable Value Accounts You have the option to select either the AUL Fixed Interest Account or AUL Stable Value Account. Both are backed by the AUL general account and provide a specific rate of return to promote capital preservation. AUL offers access to more than 300 prescreened investment options with no sub-advised or proprietary variable investment requirements. You may select from well-known investment managers across major asset classes and investment types. Our guarantee AUL Fixed Interest Account New crediting rates set quarterly Monies contributed during the quarter are guaranteed the assigned rate for the remainder of the current year and all of the following year We will guarantee that the prescreened investment options made available are appropriate and prudent to consider in constructing a suitable portfolio of investment options for a qualified retirement plan. We will back this guarantee by agreeing to indemnify your plan and its fiduciaries from claims made by a plan participant that the investment options selected and offered in the plan are inappropriate or imprudent. AUL Stable Value Account No transfer restrictions New rate is set at the beginning of each year and is guaranteed for that year 8
9 Fiduciary support options We know the selection of appropriate investments is a critical decision for you, as well as the participants in your plan. In an effort to help you make these important decisions with greater confidence and clarity, we offer services to assist you every step of the way. Support for plan fiduciaries 3(21) Plan Sponsor Advice Plan Sponsor Advice, through Mesirow Financial Investment Management, Inc. (Mesirow Financial), provides personalized, specific assistance in selecting a lineup of investment options, as well as ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the investment options in the lineup, and recommended changes when necessary. In addition, if a plan follows the specific recommendations made for the plan by Plan Sponsor Advice, Mesirow Financial will act as a co-fiduciary as defined in Section 3(21) of ERISA, with respect to the selection and ongoing monitoring of the plan s investment options. 3(38) Investment Management In addition, we offer access to 3(38) support for plan fiduciaries from Mesirow Financial and Wilmington Trust. Features available include portfolio advisor selection including a rigorous screening process, ongoing monitoring of portfolios and advisors, due diligence and quarterly portfolio performance review. Mesirow Financial Mesirow Financial will serve as the 3(38) Investment Manager for a prescreened list of investment options. Their services include creating, documenting and maintaining retirement plan portfolios for these investment options. Wilmington Trust Wilmington Trust will create, document and maintain the retirement plan investment line up of Collective Investment Trust (CITs), and serve as the Investment Manager as defined in Section 3(38)(a)(ii) of ERISA for the CITs. Support for plan participants MasteryPOINT s AdvicePlus is an optional service that provides participants with investment and retirement preparation education and support, such as retirement calculators and interactive education modules. AdvicePlus will serve as an ERISA section 3(21) fiduciary on the advice it gives while giving participants information to make informed choices. In addition, we offer access to Artesys, an independent managed account provider, who actively manages participants accounts, seeks to maximize participants expected returns and helps eliminate short-term participant mistakes through the use of up-front and ongoing education. Additional services available: Auto enrollment features Choice of Qualified Default Investment Alternatives (QDIA) Automatic rebalancing Dollar cost averaging Automatic transfers from fixed income to other asset categories 9
10 TPA commitment We offer benefits for TPAs looking for a relationship with a plan provider who is committed to supporting their business. Our strength, flexibility and retirement experience underscore your own commitment to your plan sponsor clients and their needs for an easy-to-manage plan that can attract and serve their participants needs. Non-solicitation agreement for your clients Our OneAlliance program offers you quality features, high-level service and competitive reimbursement, while respecting your client relationships. Unlike some providers who compete with TPAs for their own clients, we respect your relationships with your plan sponsors enough to put it into writing. TPA service reimbursement Year 1 Year 2 15 basis points trail from the first dollar 5 basis points trail No minimums or annual quotas TPA service reimbursements are not deducted from financial services professionals compensation Our signed contract with you states that we will not directly or indirectly contact, solicit, or attempt to contact or solicit... any plan sponsor of a client plan for which AUL serves as the recordkeeper and for which TPA performs TPA services.
