To help Ontario households improve energy efficiency with free energysaving upgrades, which can lower home energy use and electricity bills More than 500,000 households across Ontario struggle with the cost of electricity This program is for households who pay their own hydro bill and feel their electricity costs are a burden 12 TORONTO HYDRO AffordAbility Fund 6

14 Process 1. Applicant signs participation agreement and sends it to 2. Send supplemental information as requested. 3. Put up poster in building to inform tenants of program. 4. Schedule installation. 5. Coordinate for a member of the team to open doors for contractor. 6. Provide 24 hour notice to tenants (allows for opt-outs). 7. Install day Toronto Hydro s delivery agent replaces eligible lamps with LED lamps and exchanges power bars that are left out by tenants with smart power bars. 8. Delivery agent removes and recycles old lamps. 27 Case Study We ve already invested in LEDs in common areas and it made a big difference. The lighting stays brighter for longer.
