2 Proposed Terminal Development at the Port of St. Helens Port Westward Industrial Park Kinder Morgan is proposing to design, build and operate a state of the art coal export terminal at the Port of St. Helens Port Westward Industrial Park. The proposed terminal will be an estimated capital investment of $150 to $200 million for construction and development. The terminal design will incorporate Best Control Technology that will minimize or eliminate environmental impacts to air, land and water. Bringing Jobs and Economic Development to Northwest Oregon The Port Westward Industrial Park will create an estimated 80 full-time jobs to manage and operate the facility. Estimated annual payroll will be $13.6 million per year with an average annual salary of over $90,000, plus benefits. Property taxes on the project will provide an estimated $3.7 million to benefit state and local communities. Terminal development will create an estimated 150+ construction jobs over an month period. Kinder Morgan will focus on using local contractors and resources during construction and for facility maintenance. 10 Proposed Terminal Development Kinder Morgan is proposing to design, build and operate a state-ofthe-art coal export terminal at the Port of St. Helens, Port Westward Industrial Park. Kinder Morgan has secured agreements with major U.S. based coal producers to support the development of the terminal. The proposed terminal is estimated to require $150 to $200 million in capital investment for construction and development. Long term lease agreement with Port of St. Helens creates a significant long term revenue stream estimated to be $2.5 to $5.0 million per year. Property taxes will provide an estimated $3.7 million benefit to state and local communities. Terminal will create 150+ construction jobs over an 18 to 30 month period. Terminal will focus on using local contractors and resources during construction and for facility maintenance. Terminal construction and operations will be aligned with labor and supported by an ILWU collective bargaining agreement.
