2 How to Sidestep Market Crashes: The Prime Profits Alert Trading Manual By Chad Shoop, Editor of Prime Profits Alert WELCOME! I ve had my hand in dozens of trading systems as an analyst, and I have to say the Prime Profits system truly stands out to me. See, I m a firm believer in never taking on more risk than needed. So I routinely spend 60 to 80 hours a week in front of three monitors, scanning hundreds of readouts using equipment and feeds that cost upward of $150,000 a year all to help me run tons of algorithms and programs to make sure whatever system I m working on is as perfect as possible. I bring this up because I want you know that when I say the Prime Profits Alert strategy is one of my favorites, it means something. This calendar system has a unique history of delivering significant gains no matter what the market is doing. It delivers an average return of 62.36% a year and yes, it made gains even during one of the worst crashes in history. During the year of the 2008 crisis, it made 71.7%. The following year, the system brought in gains of 182%, as you can see in the chart below that compares my system s annual gains (in green) to the S&P 500 (in blue) over the same period. It s essentially crash-proof. And if you had timed your investments perfectly, reinvesting after every win you found using this Prime Profits Calendar, you would have snowballed an initial stake of $10,000 into $1.2 million while the stock market would have left you with a mere $17,300 over the last 10 years. 3 Crash Proof! 150% 100% 50% 0% % The Prime Profits Alert Origin Story I first came across the idea for this service after I met with Editorial Director Jeff Yastine, who shared with me a one-page calendar that was assembled in 1905 which has been privately circulated among Wall Street big-wigs ever since. This financial time table (shown below) had predicted nearly every stock market boom and catastrophic bust for the past 100 years or so, and with that information it revealed how simple it is to make marketcrushing returns without using speculative strategies. Essentially, this calendar illustrated that deeply consistent patterns exist in the stock market, and that by pinpointing them, we can make large, dependable gains. With that in mind, I knew that we could use this information to create something investors like you could count on. So, after consulting this time table and variations of it floating out there, we quickly got started on a more advanced calendar that could easily outperform the market using a rules-based system. As we began developing a newer, more advanced calendar, I realized that every sector of the stock market has a prime season : a specific period of time in which the sector goes up each and every year no matter what s happening in the overall market. But in order to maximize returns and perfect my calendar, I wanted to focus on only the best sectors. So we did a lot of eliminating If a sector s prime season was too volatile meaning it would make a lot of money one year and lose a lot of money the next year we eliminated it. We wanted stability. If a sector s prime season was keeping money locked up for more than nine months we eliminated it. We wanted quick gains. If a sector seemed to overlap too much with another sector that had similar gains, we eliminated it. 2

In the end, I was able to narrow it down to 15 prime seasons in sectors ranging from income and natural gas to health care producers and metal miners.

Then, during my research, I discovered specific buy and sell dates for each sector. For instance If you buy the income sector on March 6 and sell it on May 2, 57 days later, you ll get the chance at a 10% return every year, like clockwork. If you invest in natural gas on April 7 and sell on June 15, you re looking at an 8.7% return. And if you buy the transportation sector on October 2 and sell it on May days later you ll achieve an average annual return of 16.3%. Now, those gains are impressive when compared with the stock market annual average. But they just weren t good enough for me. I wanted to know this: What if, instead of just recommending a sector during its prime season, I m able to find the sector s top stock during its prime season? So I started looking for the top stocks in each sector spending countless hours pouring over charts. The one thing I was looking for was momentum upward volatility that lends to a powerful trend. And I m thrilled to report that I discovered an oscillator that allows me to identify the stock with the most momentum in each sector. 3

5 Here are some of the gains I made when I backtested it: 134% in First Solar. 161% in Goldman Sachs. 265% in General Growth Properties. 151% in FelCor Lodging Trust. 113% in Lennar. 163% on Netflix. 295% in Bluebird Bio. Keep in mind, those are just a few. There are dozens more. But clearly, we had a system that worked. And while that is the core strategy for Prime Profits Alert, I ll also be sending you occasional bonus trades. These are based on prime seasons that didn t make the cut for our slimmed down calendar, but that still display potent seasonal patterns that we can take advantage of. In a year, there may be five to 10 of these recommendations, but don t worry, they won t take away from your normal alerts. These will be considered a bonus. How to Use This System to Profit While perfecting my system, I realized that prime seasons typically don t last more than six months. So why leave our money sitting around, waiting? It makes a lot more sense to stack profits that is, roll our money over in another sector s prime season. Stacking profits was really the key component in growing a $10,000 account to $1.2 million in 10 years. It s an alternative to keeping your money in a stock that s not in its prime season, and it simply means we re rolling over our capital after we close a trade, reinvesting it in the next one. Remember, this relies on you following every trade that s the crux of this crash-proof system. Some individual trades may be losers that s just the way Wall Street works; we can t have a winner every single time but our winners will offset those occasional losses. And in the end, we ll be making an overall gain each year, even if there s a crash. The time to roll over is broken down for you in my Rolling and Stacking Calendar, which you can see below. You can also view the Prime Profits Calendars on the site here anytime you d like. So that s our main strategy for making market-crushing returns. Another key component in the success of our system is to not only trade U.S.-based stocks but to also trade ETFs. ETF stands for an exchange-traded fund, which trades much like a stock, but they re actually funds that hold a mix of assets stocks, commodities or bonds. I use these ETFs to track a certain sector of stocks or a commodity for instance, the financial ETF. Then there are the inverse ETFs. We ll only use inverse ETFs to benefit from the bear seasons. These track the opposite direction of a regular ETF. So as the financial ETF falls in value, its inverse ETF will rise in value, and vice-versa. This allows us to benefit from a declining share price during a bear season without taking on the risky and somewhat complicated task of shorting a particular stock.that s the type of win-win strategy I love. 4

With this information, you ll be ready to start off, right out the gate, when you receive my first trade recommendation. So let s jump right in: 1. What kind of trading account will I need to follow your recommendations? You just need a simple brokerage account. We won t be trading options, so there s no need to request permission from your broker. We will only trade U.S.-based stocks or ETFs. 2. Do I need a different brokerage account to trade ETFs? No, you don t. You can buy and sell ETFs from the same brokerage account as stocks. Just type in the ticker symbol, as you would any stock, and that will pull it up on your broker s website. 3. What is the best time to buy stocks? The best time to buy is during the stock market s regular hours: 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. I don t recommend after-hours trading because prices tend to be more expensive and more volatile. 4. How much should I buy of each recommendation? You should be invested equally in each of my trades, and I have six different rolling opportunities meaning you can take your capital and profits from one trade and roll it into another trade. There are six examples of this in our Prime Profits Alert core calendar. With that in mind, you should allocate about 16.6% of the amount you re dedicating to Prime Profits Alert to each strategy. Let s say you re dedicating $10,000 to my service. You would want to allocate about $1,660 for each strategy. And within each of my six strategies, that amount is invested in one trade at a time. Therefore, you would use about $1,660 for each of my first six recommendations. From there, you ll be able to close one 5

7 position and roll that capital into another position then do the same, again and again. That s how your gains can really be impressive over time. Bonus trades: Keep in mind that I ve decided to include some additional trades for you that aren t based on our core system so you don t have to roll over your gains into them if you d prefer not to (they weren t used in the specific backtests for the Prime Profits Alert system). See, even though these trades are outside of our core Prime Profits Calendar picks, they still have significant prime seasons and I don t want you missing out. We re only following 15 prime seasons, but there are 25 prime seasons I have identified that generate profits, and I plan to add more as more develop. So every now and then I will offer one of these free bonus trades. Feel free to skip out on these trades if you d like I ll let you know exactly which trades these are when I send the alert. I ll also follow them in a separate section of the eportfolio, so you ll be able to track them easily. Just remember that I wouldn t suggest these trades if I didn t think they had no merit. In fact, some of the prime seasons in these bonus trades are just as strong as our core seasons, so I think it will be a nice addition to the service that will give you more opportunities to profit. 5. What will your trade alerts look like? Each recommendation I send will have a subject line with the words Trade Alert in it so you can easily identify these time-sensitive trades. In each of these new recommendations, I ll give you an explanation for why we re making this trade and a set of trade directions in a clear table, such as the one below (remember this is an example only). Action to Take (example only) Stock/ETF: Ticker: Action: ProShares UltraShort Semiconductors NYSE: SSG Buy to Open Buy-up-to Price: $30 These directions shouldn t take you longer than 15 minutes or so to enter in your brokerage account, and every month, you ll receive about one to two of these buy recommendations. As for when it comes time to sell our positions, you ll see a similar chart along with a short write-up explaining why we re exiting the position. Between alerts, I ll be sending you an update every week with the latest news and analysis from me, keeping you up to date on the market and on current positions. This is where I ll give you a heads up on how our prime sectors are looking and if anything has changed that you need to know about. 6. How will we manage losses? There will be losses, unfortunately. That s just the nature of investing you win some, you lose some. But remember that my strategy has never, in 10 years of backtesting, had a losing year. The lowest year was 2015 with returns of 27%. And the worst loss in our backtest occurred in 2008, and it was for 43%. But that was only one position of the 15 we traded that year. In total, we had an average return of 71.7% in 2008 despite the 43% loss. With that in mind, we won t have a standing stop-loss strategy. We want to see how the prime season plays out because more often than not it will hand us a win, even if the trend starts out a little shaky in the beginning for one reason or another. 6

8 Of course, if something happens to alter a trend, I ll be sure to send you an alert to exit the related position. I m constantly watching my charts for any changes but overall, these are stable trends that aren t affected by the whims of the market very often. That s how the system was able to deliver gains every year of the last decade.
