1 CITY OF SURREY BY-LAW NO A by-law to authorize the expenditure of monies in the Capital Works Reserve Fund for the Provision of Facilities and Amenities within Neighbourhood Concept Plan Areas.... WHEREAS pursuant to Section 188(1) of the Community Charter, being Chapter 26, of the Statutes of B.C., 2003, as amended, Council has established a Capital Works Reserve Fund for the Provision of Facilities and Amenities within Neighbourhood Concept Plan Areas; AND WHEREAS pursuant to Section 189(1) of the said Community Charter, it is deemed desirable to expend a portion of the monies set aside in the Capital Works Reserve Fund for the Provision of Facilities and Amenities within Neighbourhood Concept Plan Areas; NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Surrey, in open meeting assembled, ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. The sum of Five Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($5,200,000) is hereby appropriated from the Capital Works Reserve Fund for the Provision of Facilities and Amenities within Neighbourhood Concept Plan Areas, specifically for: a) North Cloverdale West, Library Services, in the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars b) North Cloverdale West, Park Development, in the sum of Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000); c) North Cloverdale East, Park Development, in the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars d) East Newton North, Fire Services, in the sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000);

2 e) East Newton North, Library Services, in the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars f) East Newton North, Park Development, in the sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000); g) East Newton South, Fire Services, in the sum of Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($75,000); h) East Newton South, Library Services, in the sum of Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000); i) East Newton South, Parks Development, in the sum of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000); j) East Clayton, Library Services, in the sum of One Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($110,000); k) East Clayton, Park Development, in the sum of Six Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($660,000); l) East Clayton North Extension, Library Services, in the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars m) East Clayton North Extension, Park Development, in the sum of Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000); n) West Cloverdale North, Library Services, in the sum of Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000); o) West Cloverdale North, Park Development, in the sum of One Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($110,000); p) West Cloverdale South, Park Development, in the sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000); q) West Newton Highway 10, Library Services, in the sum of Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000);

4 ff) Morgan Heights, Library Services, in the sum of One Hundred Five Thousand Dollars ($105,000); gg) Morgan Heights, Parks Development, in the sum of One Million Three Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($1,370,000); hh) North Surrey, Parks Development, in the sum of Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000); ii) Highway 99 Corridor, Library Services, in the sum of Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000), and jj) Highway 99 Corridor, Parks Development, in the sum of Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000). To be expended for the following purpose for the Year 2008: NCP Specified Park Development $ 4,480,000 Library Materials 570,000 Fire Services 100,000 Police Services 50,000 $ 5,200, Should any of the above amounts remain unexpended after the expenditure hereby authorized has been made, any unexpended balance shall be returned to the credit of the said Reserve Fund. 3.
