1 Proposed Salary Increase Florida Statutes (c) Compensation and Salary Schedules. Number of Levels Bargained for Raise Schedule Type Amount Performance Pay, Highly Effective (Annual Contract) Grandfathered (Professional Service Contract or Continuing Contract) Performance Pay, Effective (Annual Contract) $ $ $ NOTE : Per our current contract, each contractual salary level increases by increments of $50. Salary increases are negotiated in terms of these increments in order to meet the requirements of Section , Florida Statutes. 5b. Salary adjustments. Salary adjustments for highly effective or effective performance shall be established as follows: (I) The annual salary adjustment under the performance salary schedule for an employee rated as highly effective must be greater than the highest annual salary adjustment available to an employee of the same classification through any other salary schedule adopted by the district. (II) The annual salary adjustment under the performance salary schedule for an employee rated as effective must be equal to at least 50 percent and no more than 75 percent of the annual adjustment provided for a highly effective employee of the same classification. (III) The performance salary schedule shall not provide an annual salary adjustment for an employee who receives a rating other than highly effective or effective for the year. For the school year, the starting salary for an instructional employee would remain at Level 13, or $40,100, on our Salary Schedule previously ratified by the Osceola County Education Association and the Osceola County School Board on May 24, 2014, and June 03, 2014, respectively. Example 1: An instructional employee with a bachelor's degree on a Performance Pay Contract, who earns a final summative evaluation rating of "Highly Effective," is eligible for a salary increase of $550, or 11 levels. If this employee is on Level 13 at $40,100, then he or she now moves up to Level 24 at $40,650. Example 2: An instructional employee with a bachelor's degree on a Professional Services Contract, who earns a final summative evaluation rating of "Highly Effective" or "Effective," is eligible for a salary increase of $500, or 10 levels. If this employee is on Level 472 at $63,050, then he or she now moves up to Level 482 at $63,550. Example 3: An instructional employee with a bachelor's degree on a Performance Pay Contract, who earns a final summative evaluation rating of "Effective," is eligible for a salary increase of $400, or 8 levels.
