4 Notes for the Reader All of the data shown in this report is based upon calendar years. Construction industry is defined by the NCCI codes listed in rule 69L-6.21, F. A. C. Policy information is grouped by the effective date. Employment numbers are based upon Florida - Nonagricultural Employment by Industry (seasonally adjusted) for the calendar years of 212 to 217. The source is U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Current Employment Statistics Program, prepared by Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO), Bureau of Labor Market Statistics, released March 13, 218. Indemnity claims have dates of accident (DOA) in the range of 1/1/212 to 12/31/217 and include their medical payments. Claims data continues to develop over time. The most recent years are the least developed. Medical Only (MO) claims are excluded. Data is valued as of 4/12/218. Disability types are based upon the current severe disability type as reported on the claim. Return to Work (RTW) data is based upon the first RTW date reported. For the RTW graph, all denied claims with a RTW date are excluded. 4 Workers Compensation in FL - Construction Summary
