No matter how much the costs have risen over the period since your plan was agreed, the cost of the funeral will stay the same as the day it was purchased. We guarantee that your family or estate will not be asked for a penny more for the services included in the plan you have selected. Remember that all Fosters set funeral plans are fully guaranteed so this means the price you have agreed to pay for the services included in your plan, is the price that you will pay no matter how much these costs might rise over the years. Fixed Monthly Payments If you are aged between 50 & 75 you can pay with fixed monthly payments - This is a monthly payment plan option that needs to be paid for life or until your 90th birthday - No medical history required but you need to be paying for a minimum of 2 years to qualify. 14 w FAQ s What if I m not in good health? We promise to accept your application, regardless of your state of health. If you have chosen to spread the cost and were to pass away before all payments have been paid, your family will either need to pay the remaining balance of the Funeral Plan to receive the funeral services or cancel the plan. If this instance, we would refund all payments made, less the Cancellation Charge of 499. If you have chosen our Fixed Monthly Payment plan your funeral costs are only covered after you have been paying into the Plan for at least two years. In the sad event that you pass away within two years of taking out your plan, your family will be reimbursed the full amount you have paid. What if I want to take out a plan for someone else? Complete the Plan Holder s representative box on the application form, and we ll arrange for all correspondence to be sent to you. Complete confidentiality is assured. Who can buy a plan and what are your payment options? All Fosters plans are available to any UK resident over the age of 18. You can pay the plan in full by cash, cheque, debit or credit card. You can also choose to spread the cost over 12 months at no additional cost by debit or credit card. If you are between the ages of 50 & 75 you can take out a plan using our Fixed Monthly Payments option by direct debit. What if I move house? We will cover the funeral anywhere in Scotland. What does fully guaranteed mean? Once your plan is in place we guarantee that your price for the services included in your plan will stay the same no matter how much funeral prices may rise in the years to come. Through our Funeral Requests service, we can record additional personal wishes, however, where this includes chargeable services such as flowers, these will need to be paid for at the time of need (or the balance of if a contribution has already been made and it does not cover the cost) as they are not included with the plan. 14

15 What if I live to be 100 years old? No matter how old you are, no matter how much funeral costs may rise, you and your loved ones will never be asked for a penny more for the services and costs guaranteed within your funeral plan (see the terms and conditions). Are there cancellation charges? If you cancel your plan within the first 28 days there are no cancellation charges and we ll refund any payments you ve made. After 28 days, if you have chosen to pay the plan in full or by spreading the cost over 12 months then we ll refund any payments you ve made less the one-off plan Cancellation Charge of 499. This covers all of Fosters costs in setting up the plan. If you have chosen to pay by Fixed Monthly Payments there is no cancellation charge, however, there is no cash-in value so no money will be refunded. Once your plan is cancelled we will have no further obligation to fulfil your plan. How do I cancel my plan? If you have chosen to pay the plan in full or by spreading the cost, and you decide to cancel your plan after 28 days from the Plan start date, any monies paid less than the Cancellation Fee of 499 will be refunded. If you have chosen the Fixed Monthly Payments option and you decide to cancel then there is no cash-in value and no money will be refunded. Once your plan is cancelled we will have no further obligation to fulfil your plan. What if death occurs while I m on holiday? As an additional benefit, Fosters will pay the transportation charges if death occurs away from your permanent address, but still within Scotland. If death occurs elsewhere in mainland UK, there will be a one-way charge of 1 per mile. If you intend to travel overseas, we recommend that your travel or medical insurance policy includes full cover for repatriation costs to your funeral director s premises. 15
