5 Change to Director Policy What does it mean? All directors actively involved in the day-to-day activities of their corporation who receive a T4 are now considered to be a worker. Coverage is mandatory. When is it effective? November 1, 2014 for new accounts January 1, 2015 for existing accounts What does active mean? The director must be involved in the day-to-day activities Bookkeeping Management Other tasks involved in keeping the business running
6 Change to Director Policy (cont d) What do I do now? Directors who currently have Optional Personal Coverage will need to cancel their coverage and report wages. Directors who do not receive a T4 are eligible for Optional Personal Coverage at the minimum level only. Are Directors covered like other workers? Directors reporting wages receive same coverage as their workers. Wage loss benefits will be based on the lower of our maximum wage base or the amount of your earnings. We are unable to compensate for a wage rate that exceeds our maximum.
7 Coverage Outside of Saskatchewan Workers being sent out of Saskatchewan o o Saskatchewan WCB insurance coverage generally applies when Saskatchewan resident workers go to another province to work. Contact the provincial WCB for registration requirements in that province.
8 Voluntary Coverage Application can be made for voluntary coverage in some industries and occupations that are not required to register.

10 Optional Personal Coverage Coverage is based on the amount requested Minimum coverage is $21,216 (based on minimum wage) Maximum coverage is $65,130 Substantiation is required for coverage above the minimum Effective at midnight on the day the request Minimum 3 months Cancellation must be requested in writing Personal coverage may be cancelled due to noncompliance

17 Assessable Payroll Gross earnings before Income Tax, Employment Insurance, pension and other deductions Maximum assessable payroll is $65,130 Premiums are based on each $100 of assessable payroll
18 Reporting Requirements A late filing penalty will be charged for Employer Payroll Statements received after February 28 th Underestimate penalty is applied if the assessable payroll is underestimated by more than 50% of the estimate Estimated payroll can be updated at anytime during the year

21 Accessing Online Services Register for Online Services account as an administrator We will review the application and approve it NOTE: The administrator must be an authorized person for the business (owner, director, HR manager, payroll manager, controller). The administrator can then grant any number of agents access to the services the agents require (i.e.: payroll, clearances, etc.) Register for Online account: myaccount.wcbsask.com/

24 Giving Account Access The agent (or employee) first registers for an online account using the firm number After the agent submits the application, they will receive an advising that an agent has requested access to the account. The will have a link to a page where the agent s access can be approved or denied
25 How do I log on? Once you have obtained an online services account, log in at myaccount.wcbsask.com.
26 Employer Payroll Statement (EPS) Submissions The EPS is used to submit payroll information (actual prior year and estimate for current year), contractors hired in prior year and requesting optional coverage. Be sure to keep Payroll Estimates Current each year to avoid potential penalties. Every employer who has an existing employer account with our office is required to complete and submit their EPS. Can be submitted through Fast File or through online services account (myaccount.wcbsask.com) EPS are due annually by February 28
27 Submitting Online To submit your EPS online services and select Submit Employer Payroll Statement
28 EPS Fast File Submission Firm Number and Access Code can be found in the top right hand corner of your EPS or EPS letter. Be sure to provide all information on Contracted Services at this time. You are not able to revisit your submission when using Fast File so please print a copy for your records.
29 Revising your Payroll Estimate Payroll estimates need to be adequate to avoid penalties. Payroll revisions can be done anytime after you have submitted your EPS for the year. They must be done before the end of December to avoid an underestimate penalty. Payroll revisions can be done through fast file or through online services account

33 Clearance requests and Letter of Good Standing Save/print a copy for your records
34 Automatic Clearance Verification (ACV) Manage an ACV online services through your account. ACV lists allow you to create a list of frequently used contractors. You will receive an anytime the status of a contractor changes. You can log on to view which contractor has a status change. You need to keep the contract amount up to date.
35 Automatic notification if clearance status changes Create lists for different projects or locations and get automatic s if contractor status changes Easily view and edit ACV lists Conveniently keep contract amounts updated
36 Pay your Premiums Premiums can be paid online with your Visa, MasterCard and American Express We offer this service for payments of $5000 or less per payment period Payments can also be made through your bank or credit union s online banking services.
37 Manage Claims View injury cost information Report a work injury View claims reports Experience Summary (16C1) - report summarizes your firm's payroll, premium, claim counts and costs for the current and previous 4 years Annual costs per claim (16C2) - breaks down your firm's costs by claim for the current and previous 4 years. Total Costs per Claim (16C3) - shows the total costs since inception for claims that have incurred costs in the current or previous 4 years. Experience Rate Statement Premium Rate Notice, which shows your discount or surcharge calculation.
