1 TAKAFUL e-travel PERSONAL ACCIDENT CERTIFICATE WHEREAS the Participant described in the Schedule hereto has made to HONG LEONG MSIG TAKAFUL BERHAD (hereinafter referred to as the Operator ) a written Proposal and Declaration which shall be the basis of this Contract and which is deemed to be incorporated herein and has paid or agreed to pay the Contribution stated in the Schedule hereto as consideration for the takaful certificate hereinafter contained. NOW THIS CERTIFICATE WITNESSETH that if the Participant shall sustain any bodily injury or death being events caused solely and directly by violent, accidental, external and visible means at any time during the Period of Takaful coverage stated herein or during any further period for which the Operator may accept any payment for the renewal thereof, takaful benefit stated in the Contingencies shall be paid to the Participant or to the Participant s legal representative(s) if any of the events aforesaid shall happen. This Takaful Ceritifcate and the Schedule shall be read together as one-contract and any word or expression to which a specific meaning has been attached in any part of this Takaful Certificate or of the Schedule shall bear such specific meaning wherever it may appear. PART 1: DEFINITIONS In this certificate, unless the context requires otherwise: Accident shall mean a sudden, unexpected, unusual, specific event which occurs at an identifiable time and place, and shall also include exposure resulting from a mishap to a conveyance in which the Covered Person is travelling; Accidental Death/Bodily Injury shall mean the death/bodily injury caused solely and directly by an Accident; Annual Plan means a Period of Takaful for twelve (12) months, which begins from the commencement date and ends on the expiry date stated on the Schedule. During the Period of Takaful, there is no limit on the number of Trips but coverage is limited to a maximum of ninety (90) consecutive days for any one Trip. In the event of a loss, other than the losses payable under Section 1, the Takaful Coverage hereinafter shall be maintained in force for the full Sum Covered from the date of such loss to the expiry of the current Period of Takaful; Bodily Injury means injury suffered caused solely by an accident and not by sickness, disease or gradual physical or mental wear and tear; Child or Children means any dependent unmarried child or children, including any stepchild or stepchildren and legally adopted child or children of the Participant, who is not gainfully employed or who is still a full time student at a higher learning institution aged between 1 month and up to 25 years of age (inclusive) at the commencement of the Period of Takaful. The coverage for the children under this certificate is allowed up to 3 children only; Close Relative means the Covered Person s legally married spouse, child, parent, parent-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, brother and sister; Commencement Date shall mean the commencement date as in the Schedule on which the Individual Travel Personal Accident Takaful of this Certificate becomes effective; Contingency Reserve shall mean the reserves to be used in case of adverse experience in Risk Fund the percentage (%) of which may differ for each Risk Fund; Conveyance shall means: (a) (b) any bus, coach, taxi, hotel car, ferry, hovercraft, hydrofoil, ship, train, tram, underground train or any other public transportation provided and operated by a carrier duly licensed for the regular transportation of fare-paying passengers;

2 (c) (d) (e) any fixed-wing aircraft or helicopter provided and operated by an airline or an air charter company which is duly licensed for the regular transportation of fare-paying passengers and operating only between established commercial airports or licensed commercial heliports; any regularly scheduled airport limousine operating on fixed routes and schedules; motorcycles are excluded. Covered Persons shall mean the eligible persons named in the Schedule, who are: a. Malaysian citizen or Malaysian Permanent Resident or work permit holders legally employed in Malaysia; b. Within the age limit of Adult and Children as described in Condition; c. Making such Trip which commence from Malaysia and is subject to the maximum duration of Trip; d. Not traveling contrary to the advice of any Registered Medical Practitioner; e. Not traveling in order to receive medical treatment; and f. Not aware or knows of any condition, cause or circumstances existing that may necessities the cancellation or curtailment of the scheduled Trip. Contribution shall mean the contribution made by the Participant; Curtailment means abandonment by return to place of residence in Malaysia of the planned Trip after arrival at the scheduled destination as shown on the booking invoice; Domestic Trip means travel within Peninsular Malaysia, travel within East Malaysia or travel between Peninsular and East Malaysia and vice versa; Individual Plan shall cover the Participant only; Family Plan shall cover the Participant, his/her legal spouse and their accompanying children as described in the Schedule; Hospital means a hospital (other than an institution for the aged, chronically ill or convalescent rest or nursing home) operated pursuant to law for the care and treatment of the injured or sick person with organised facilities for diagnosis and surgery and having twenty four (24) hours nursing service and medical supervision; Hospital Income means a daily benefit, which commences from the admission date for the period the Covered Person is confined in a hospital for treatment of Bodily Injury; Loss of Eye means the complete and irrecoverable and irremediable loss of sight of an eye; Loss of Limb means loss by physical severance of a hand at or above wrist or of a foot at or above the ankle including permanent loss of use of a complete hand or foot; Maximum Duration of Trip means the period for: a. Single Trip Cover days from the commencement of a Trip outside Malaysia and 31 days from the commencement of a Trip within Malaysia; b. One way Trip Cover 72 hours from the commencement of each Trip outside or within Malaysia; or c. Annual Trip Cover - 90 days from the commencement of each Trip outside Malaysia, as the case may be. Medical Practitioner means any person qualified by a degree in western medicine and legally licensed and authorised to practice medicine and surgery.

3 Participant means the proposer who has affected this Certificate as described in the Schedule and has paid the Contribution specified in the Takaful Certificate to the Operator. Period of Takaful means the period during which the Operator covers the Covered Person under this Certificate. a. For Section 4 Trip Curtailment, it commences on the Date of Issue of the Certificate/Travel Itinerary and terminates upon arrival in Malaysia or the expiry date stated on the Certificate/Schedule /Travel Itinerary, whichever is earlier. b. For Section 5 - Trip Cancellation, it commences on the Date of Issue of the Certificate/Schedule/Travel Itinerary and terminates on the commencement date of the Trip or the expiry date stated on the Certificate/Schedule/Travel Itinerary, whichever is earlier. c. For all other Sections, it starts from the commencement date of the Covered Person s Trip stated on the Certificate/ Schedule/Travel Itinerary and continue until the date he/she return to Malaysia or the expiry date stated on the Certificate/Schedule/Travel Itinerary, whichever is earlier. Pre-Existing Condition means any medical condition: a. That is on-going or medical complication that is directly attributed to that condition. In respect of which the Covered Person has been hospitalized during the twelve (12) months period immediately prior to the commencement of coverage under this Certificate; b. That has been diagnosed or treated by a Medical Practitioner including prescribed drugs during the twelve (12) months period immediately prior to the commencement of takaful coverage under this Certificate. Permanent Disablement means absolute disablement for twelve (12) calendar months and at the expiry of the twelve (12) months period being beyond hope of improvement which solely and directly prevents a Covered Person from attending to any business, occupation or duties for which he is reasonably qualified by reason of his education, training or experience; Qardhul Hassan means the shareholders of the Operator shall arrange, if necessary, Qardhul Hasan (or an interest free finance), in the event that any of the Risk Funds get into a deficit situation towards solvency of the Risk Funds after using the Contingency Reserves. The financing amount shall be repaid only on the original amount disbursed, from the future surplus arising from the Risk Fund, in a lump sum or on an installment basis depending on the emerging future surplus and the amount of the financing disbursed; Risk Fund shall mean a pool of funds for the purposes of mutual assistance, solidarity, brotherhood and for the mutual benefits of all Participants. 100% of gross contribution paid by the participant, net of wakalah fee shall be allocated to the relevant risk fund under Iltizam Bi Al Tabarru concept. Within the risk fund, the Participant s tabarru shall be deemed to have occurred upon any claim payment made in respect of fellow participants and incurrence of reserves, retakaful cost as well as other costs as approved by the Shariah Committee of the operator with the remaining balance to be managed according to the terms and conditions of this Certificate. Schedule is the document/endorsement issued for each Participant which forms part of the Certificate; Sum Covered means the sum covered specified as such in the Takaful Certificate Schedule issued by the Operator to the Participant; Solely means exclusive of all other causes; Serious Medical Condition means the sudden and, at that time, unexpected onset of a change in the Covered Person s physical or medical condition requiring immediate and emergency medical or surgical attention or care from the onset which if not performed will result in a life-threatening situation or significant impairment of bodily function or permanent dysfunction of a body part. The seriousness of the medical condition will be determined within the context of the person s geographical location, the nature of medical emergency and the local availability of appropriate medical care or facility; Takaful Certificate shall mean the individual certificate issued to the Participant to certify that the Participant has fully paid the Contribution under this Scheme; Takaful Events shall mean events on which the Takaful Benefits are payable;

4 Iltizam Bi Al Tabarru shall mean the commitment to make Tabarru ; Tabarru shall mean a certain portion of the contribution that the Participant agrees to donate upon occurrence of events approved by Shariah Committee of the Operator, thus enabling him to fulfill his obligation of mutual help and joint guarantee should any of his fellow participants suffer a defined loss where his donation is meant to help others and others donation are meant to help him; Jua lah shall mean a contract in which the Participant agrees to reward the Operator for its achievement or good performance in managing Risk Fund; The Operator shall mean Hong Leong MSIG Takaful Berhad; Travel Worldwide Assistance Services refers to the services provided by a third party service provider appointed by Hong Leong MSIG Takaful Berhad; Trip shall mean the travel that the Participant covered as per stated in the Schedule. Provided always that all Trips covered by this plan must commence from Malaysia; a. For Single Trip - It begins when the Covered Person leaves from his Place of Residence or Place of Business to travel and at the end of which the Covered Person returns to his Place of Residence or Place of Business or on the expiry date stated on the Schedule, whichever is earlier; b. For One Way Trip - It begins when the Covered Person leaves from his Place of Residence or Place of Business to travel and ends directly upon arrival in the scheduled destination. Provided always that the duration of each Trip shall not exceed seventy two (72) consecutive hours; c. For Annual Plan - It begins when the Covered Person leaves from his Place of Residence or Place of Business to travel and ends upon arrival in Malaysia or the expiry date stated on the Schedule/Certificate of Takaful/Travel Itinerary, whichever is earlier. Provided always that the duration of each Trip shall not exceed ninety (90) consecutive days. Wakalah shall mean an arrangement appointing the Operator to manage the overall services provided under the Certificate. The Operator will take a portion of the contribution as Wakalah Fee in return of the service rendered. Wakalah Fees shall mean an upfront fee payable to the Operator in return of the service rendered.

5 PART 2: COVERAGE The relevant benefits for both Overseas Trips and Domestic Trips are listed in the Table of Benefits and are subject to the relevant terms and conditions described hereunder. The benefit for section 2 to 12 which falls under Individual, Individual and Spouse Plan, and Family Plan will be payable per Certificate basis.

7 BENEFIT 1 PERSONAL ACCIDENT In the event of Bodily Injury caused by accidental means being sustained by the Insured Person during the Period of Protection, the following benefits will be paid: - (a) (b) Accidental Death Total Permanent Disablement (loss of one and/or two limbs and/or loss of entire sight of one and/or both eyes, loss resulting in total permanent disablement, injuries resulting in being permanently bedridden and/or total paralysis). BENEFIT 2 PERSONAL LIABILITY The Operator will indemnify the Participant for legal liability directly to a third party arising from the Participant s negligence, during travel as a result of accidental injury to any person and/or accidental loss or damage to property. In addition, the Operator will indemnify the Participant for third parties costs and expenses recoverable from the Insured and/or the costs and expenses incurred by the Participant with the prior written consent of the Operator. BENEFIT 2 MEDICAL & OTHER EXPENSES Reimbursement of medical expenses incurred during the Period of Protection while on the trip. Medical expenses shall include: - (a) (b) (c) (d) (e) (f) (g) Hospital, medical, surgical, X-Ray, nursing home charges or other medical attention or treatment given or prescribed by a Medical Practitioner; Dental fees for emergency treatment as result of accidental injury to sound natural teeth; Follow up medical treatment incurred within 30 days after returning to Malaysia (as per Table of Benefit); Hospital Income as per the Table of Benefits and according to the respective plans; If the Participant sustains serious injury or sickness while on the trip alone, resulting in hospitalization for more than 7 consecutive days, the Operator will arrange and pay for the cost of one economy class return airfare for a close relative from Malaysia to his/her bedside. If the Participant sustains serious injury or sickness while on the trip accompanied by a minor child only, the Operator will arrange and pay for the cost of one economy class return airfare for a family member to take care of the minor child and accompany him/her. In the event of Accidental Death and upon submission of all relevant documents, the Operator will pay the amount specified in the Table of Benefits to provide financial relief to the deceased s next-of-kin. BENEFIT 3 TRIP CANCELLATION The Operator will reimburse the Participant for travel and accommodation expenses, paid in advance and is irrecoverable from any source, should the trip be cancelled due to the death, serious injury or sickness of Participant or his/her travelling companion or close relative, unexpected outbreak of strikes, riot or civil commotion. BENEFIT 4 TRAVEL CURTAILMENT The Operator will reimburse for any additional travel and accommodation expenses after commencement of or during the trip, should the Participant need to shorten his/her trip after its commencement and return to Malaysia whichever is earlier or extending trip due to unexpected death, sudden serious sickness or injury of a close in Malaysia or injury or sickness certified by Medical Practitioner that the Participant or travelling companion is unfit to continue the trip or scheduled public transport services cancelled or curtailed due to strikes, riot or civil commotion, hijack, natural disaster or severe weather conditions that there has been no warning of these event or the Insured s passports or travel documents were stolen. Travel Alert refers to where the Government of Malaysia has issued an official advisory against travel to a specified country and where there are signs of threat in a place that may affect the personal safety of Malaysian residents. BENEFIT 5 - TRAVEL DELAY If departure of scheduled public conveyance is delayed for at least 8 hours from specified time, the Operator will reimburse the Participant the necessary and actual accommodation and meal expenses incurred (which is not recoverable from any other party) for each full 8 consecutive hours of delay.

8 BENEFIT 6 LOSS OF LUGGAGE AND PERSON AL EFFECTS The Operator will pay the Participant for accidental loss of or damage to his/her baggage and personal effects that are taken with/collected by the transport provider to be taken/purchased on the trip. Subject to single article, Pair or Set Clause. BENEFIT 7 LUGGAGE DELAY The Operator will reimburse the Participant for the emergency purchase of essential clothing and toiletries if his/her checkedin baggage accompanying him/her on the trip has been delayed, misdirected or temporarily misplaced by the transport provider for more than 8 hours of his/her arrival. BENEFIT 8 LOSS OF TRAVEL DOCUMENTS The Company will reimburse the Participant for the loss of travel documents taken from him/her by force, by violent means, or by threat of violence. BENEFIT 9 MISSED DEPARTURE Reimbursement for necessary accommodation and travel cost incurred as a result of missed departure due to failure of public transport services to get you to the departure port on time. BENEFIT 10 HOME CARE BENEFIT Compensation for loss or damage to home contents in your home due to fire or burglary during your travel period. BENEFIT 11 PERSONAL LIABILITY Coverage on your legal liability to third parties for injury and/or loss of/damage to property during your travel. 9 BENEFIT 14 - Wakaf Al-Quran Service* In the event of Death or Total Permanent Disablement, a sum of RM shall be deducted from the benefit payable to the Nominee to perform the Waqaf Al-Quran ibadah on the Participant s behalf. BENEFIT 15 - Qurban Service* In the event of Death or Total Permanent Disablement, a sum of RM shall be deducted from the benefit payable to the Nominee to perform the Qurban ibadah on the Participant s behalf. *Benefits 13, 14 and 15 are only applicable to Muslim s participants. LIMITATION OF TAKAFUL BENEFIT This Takaful Certificate shall not cover death or disablement or any other loss directly or indirectly caused: 1. By war invasion act of foreign enemy hostilities (whether war be declared or not) civil war rebellion revolution military insurrection or usurped power; or 2. By martial law or state of siege or any of the events or causes which determine the proclamation or maintenance of martial law or state of siege; or 3. By any act of any person acting on behalf of or in connection with any organisation with activities directed towards the overthrow by force of any de jure or de factor Government or to the influencing of it by terrorism or violence; or 4. By childbirth, miscarriage, pregnancy, confinement or any complications thereof : or 5. By insanity, suicide or attempted suicide, intentional self inflicted injury,, misuse or abuse of substance, alcohol and/ or drugs: or 6. By pre existing physical or mental defect or infirmity to the Covered Person; 7. While commiting or attempting to commit any unlawful act 8. Bacterial or viral infections, any disease or sickness, medical or surgical treatment (except such as may be necessary as a result of injuries covered by this certificate and performed within the time provided in this Certificate 9. While the Covered Person is in a state of unsound mind; or 10. While the Covered Person is engaging in mountaineering requiring ropes or guides, steeple chasing, pot-holing, polo, racing of any kind (other than on foot), ice or winter sports of any kind, boxing, wrestling and training or performing any form of martial arts, all aerial sporting activities and other similar hazardous or dangerous activities, sports or competition. In any event whatsoever any person engaging or participating in any sport on a professional basis will not be covered under the Takaful Certificate; or 11. While the Covered Person is in on or ascending into or descending from any aircraft as a member of the crew or undertaking any trade or technical operation therein excepts whilst travelling as a passenger in the aircraft operating on a schedule service or a twin or multi-engined aircraft. 12. By or contributed to by or arising from ionising radiation or contamination by radioactivity from any nuclear fuel or from any nuclear waste from the combustion of nuclear fuel; or 13. By HIV infection, illness or any kind of venereal disease or sexually transmitted disease (STD)or arising out of or consequent upon or contributed to by Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) or AIDS Related Complex (ARC) howsoever this syndrome has been acquired or may be named

10 CONDITIONS 1. Material Fact The Certificate shall be voidable in the event of misrepresentation, misdescription or non-disclosure of any material fact. 2. Observance of Conditions The due observance and fulfillment of these Conditions which are to be read as part of the takaful provided by this Certificate shall so far as the nature of them respectively permits be a condition precedent to any liability of the Operator under this Certificate 3. Reasonable Care The Covered Person must exercise reasonable care to prevent Accidents, injury, illness, disease, loss or damage. 4. Age Limit Cover is subject to the following age limits and restrictions on travel alone: Adult : a. For Single Trip Cover : Person aged between 18 and up to 70 years at the commencement of the Period of Takaful b. For Annual Trip Cover : Person aged between 18 and up to 70 years at the commencement of the Period of Takaful Child : Person aged between 1 month and up to 25 years (inclusive) a. A child aged 12 or below must be accompanied by an adult Covered Person or adult Participant. b. A child travelling alone will only be covered under the annual plan In the event the Covered Person has attained the aforesaid age limit during mid term of this coverage, the coverage shall remain effective until the Certificate has expired. 5. Notice of Claim Written notice of claim must be given to us immediately and in any event within 60 days of the completion of the relevant Trip. Failure to give the notice in the time prescribe shall not invalidate a claim if it can be shown to our satisfaction that notice had been provided as soon as was reasonably practicable. Notice is deemed given by or on behalf of the claimant to us with information sufficient to identify the Covered Person. 6. Proof of Claim Written proof in support of a claim must be provided to us within 30 days from the receipt of the claim form provided by us as above. Failure to provide such proof within the time required shall not invalidate any claim if it was not reasonably possible to give proof within such time, provided such proof is furnished as soon as reasonably possible, and in no event later than 180 days from the time such proof is otherwise required. All claims must be submitted with comprehensive supporting information and documentary evidence as we may require including but not limited to: i. In the case of Accidental Death and TPD Benefits: Hospital and Physician s reports giving details of the nature of the loss and extent and period of disability, police reports where the relevant and in the event of death a copy of the death certificate and the relevant coroners report; ii. In the case of Medical and other expenses, Hospital Cash Benefit, Loss or Deposit or Cancellation and Curtailment of Trip: All receipt, ticket coupons, contracts or agreement relevant to the claim and if the claim be in respect of medical treatments, a full Physician s report stipulating (a) the diagnosis of the condition treated, (b) the date the disability commenced in the Physician s opinion and (c) the Physician s summary of the course of treatment including medicines prescribed and services rendered. iii. In the case of Baggage and Personal Effect, Delayed baggage, Personal Money, and Travel Documents: All details including receipts as to date of purchase, price, model and type of items lost or damaged, receipt of any emergency purchases of essential items during the Trip, a copy of immediate notification to carrier and his / her acknowledgement when loss or damage has occurred in transit and certified copy of

11 immediate police report when loss or damage has occurred in other circumstances. Report to these authorities must be made within 24 hours of the occurrence. iv. In case of Travel Delay Documentation satisfactory to us that the cause of delay was officially recognised together with a clear statement of its nature. v. In case of Personal Liability All correspondences, summons or wrist must be submitted to us immediately upon receipt, unanswered. 7. Legal Action No action shall be brought to recover on this Certificate prior to the expiration of sixty (60) days after written proof of claim has been filed in accordance with the requirement of this certificate, nor shall such action be brought at all unless commenced within hundred eighty (180) days from the expiration of thirty (30) days within such proof of claim required. 8. Prohibition on Assignment This Certificate and the benefits hereunder cannot be assigned and notice of any purported assignment thereof shall accordingly not have any effect. 9. Place of Departure This cover is only valid for a Trip originating from and within Malaysia. 10. Payment of Contribution This Certificate is issued and the benefits under this Certificate are available to you in consideration of the payment of the prescribed Contributions. Coverage and claims are valid only subject to the successful collection of Contribution by the Operator and your compliance of the term and conditions contained herein. We reserve the right to refuse any coverage or reject any claim resulting from non-payment of Contribution. 11. Validity of Coverage The person may not be validly covered at anyone time under more than one Certificate issued by the Operator. 12. Weekly Benefit No weekly benefit shall become payable until the total amount shall have been ascertained and agreed. 13. Arbitration All differences arising out of this Takaful Certificate shall be referred to the decision of an Arbitrator to be appointed in writing by the parties in difference or if they cannot agree upon a single Arbitrator to the decision of two Arbitrators one to be appointed in writing by each of the parties within one calendar month after having been required in writing to do so by either of the parties or in case the Arbitrators do not agree of an Umpire appointed in writing by the Arbitrators before entering upon the reference. The Umpire shall sit with the Arbitrators and preside at their meetings and the making of an Award shall be a condition precedent to any right of action against the Operator. If the Operator shall disclaim liability to the Participant for any claim hereunder and such claim shall not within twelve calendar months from the date of such disclaimer have been referred to arbitration under the provisions herein then the claim shall for all purposes be deemed to have been abandoned and shall thereafter be recoverable hereunder. 14. Wakalah Fee The Takaful Operator is entitled to receive from each Contribution the prescribed Wakalah fees for its services rendered which shall be deducted upon payment of Contribution by the Participant as set out in Wakalah Fee Schedule. The level of Wakalah fees inclusive of all distributors commissions shall vary by type of coverage and be defined as per cent (%) of each allocated Contributions. The fees shall be transferred to the Operator s Fund. 15. Risk Fund After deduction of the prescribed Wakalah fees, the remainders of allocated Contributions shall be credited wholly into the relevant Risk Fund, from which Takaful benefits are paid. The surplus in the Risk Fund shall be determined on a monthly basis. A certain percentage of the surplus, the level of which the Operator deems appropriate shall be kept aside to set up the Contingency Reserve. (a) The Tabarru charge determined as 100% of gross contribution, net of Wakalah Fee shall be allocated to the relevant Risk Fund, by which Takaful events shall be covered. The Risk Fund shall be invested in Shariah-

12 compliant instruments and the Yearly Investment Profit earned on the Risk Fund shall remain in the Risk Fund. Surplus arising from the Risk Fund, if any, is calculated annually at the end of each of the Operator's financial year. The said surplus shall be inclusive of the investment profit from the Risk Fund. (b) The shareholders of the Operator shall arrange, if necessary, Qardhul Hasan (or an interest free financing), in the event that any of the Risk Funds get into a deficit situation towards solvency of the Risk Funds after using the Contingency Reserves. The financing shall be repaid only on the original amount disbursed, from the future surplus of the Risk Fund, in a lump sum or on an installment basis depending on the emerging future surplus and the amount of the financing disbursed. (c) After taking into consideration the amount set aside for contingency reserve, 50% of the balance surplus amount, if any, shall be given to the Operator as performance fee based on Ju'alah contract. The remaining 50% of the balance surplus amount shall be payable to the eligible Participant upon expiry/maturity of their Certificates following the Operator's financial year end closing. However, if the amount payable is RM 10 or less, such amount shall be donated to the Risk Fund instead. (d) In the event of any claim made by the Participant during the Period of Takaful, the remaining surplus amount in respect of the Participant, if any, shall be donated to the Risk Fund. 16. Qardhul Hasan The shareholders of the Operator shall arrange, if necessary, Qardhul Hasan (or an interest free finance), in the event that any of the Risk Funds get into a deficit situation towards solvency of the Risk Fund after using the Contingency Reserves. The financing amount shall be repaid only on the original amount disbursed, from the future surplus arising from the Risk Fund, in a lump sum or on an installment basis depending on the emerging future surplus and the amount of the financing disbursed. 17. Retakaful The Operator on behalf of all the Participants shall be authorized to procure Retakaful to protect the interests of all the Participants. Retakaful arrangement for each Risk Fund shall be made independently and the Retakaful Contributions shall be paid from the relevant Risk Funds. In case that the required Retakaful that is appropriate and fair for the protection of the Participants is not available, the Operator has the right to make the appropriate Reinsurance arrangements as necessity. 18. Addition of Risk Funds The Risk Funds which are set up to cover different risks shall separately be managed by the Operator. Number of Risk Funds under a single Takaful Certificate may be increased to cover additional risks by means of endorsements in the future. 19. Takaful benefits payment Any Takaful benefits payment under this Certificate shall be payable from the Risk Fund managed by the Operator to the Participant. Any receipt or discharge which the Participant may give to the Operator for any Takaful benefit under this Certificate shall be deemed final and complete termination of all the rights of the Participant in respect of such claim. IMPORTANT NOTICE 1. This Certificate and its Conditions should be examined and if incorrect returned at once for alteration. 2. In the event of any occurrence, which may give rise to a claim, notice should be given IMMEDIATELY to the nearest office followed by such further steps as are required by the Conditions of the Certificate. 3. You are required by Law to tell us all facts that you know or are expected to know about the risk that we are accepting from you. These facts can influence our decision whether to accept your application for takaful and or what terms we impose.

13 4. You must tell us as soon as reasonably possible about any change of circumstances and health status including any change of occupation or employment status which may increase your risk. You must also notify us at the renewal of the certificate if you have been declared bankrupt or have been convicted of, or charged but not tried, for any offence other than driving offences. 5. We may change the terms and conditions of this certificate from the date of any change of your circumstances. 6. You must take reasonable care to provide us with all the answers and not to make misrepresentation. If you misrepresented any facts to us before the certificate was entered into, we may:- - declare your certificate void from inception (which means treating it as invalid), we may not make any return of contribution and also recover any unpaid contribution; - cancel this certificate and return any contribution less our cancellation charge or recover any unpaid contribution; - recover any shortfall in contribution; - not pay any claim that has been or will be made under the certificate; - be entitled to recover from you the total amount of any claim already paid under the certificate or any claim we have to pay under any relevant legislation, plus any recovery costs. 7. You must observe and fulfill the Terms, Conditions, Endorsements, Clauses or Warranties of the Certificate. This Certificate is subject to the following Warranty/Clauses. 1. Terrorism Exclusion Clause Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary within this Takaful coverage or any endorsement thereto, it is agreed that this Takaful excluded loss, damage, cost or expense of whatsoever nature directly or indirectly caused by, resulting from or in connection with any act of terrorism regardless of any other cause or event contributing concurrently or in any other sequence to the loss. For the purpose of this exclusion, an act of terrorism means an act, including but not limited to the use of force or violence and/ or the threat thereof, of any person or group(s) of persons, whether acting alone or on behalf of or in connection with any organisation(s) or government(s), which form its nature or context is done for, or in connection with political, religious, ideological, ethnic or similar purposed or reasons, including the intention to influence any government and/or to put the public, o any section of the public, in fear This exclusion also excludes loss, damage, cost or expense of whatsoever nature directly or indirectly caused by resulting from or in connection with any action taken in controlling, preventing, suppressing or in any way relating to any act of terrorism. If the Operator alleges that by reason of this exclusion, any loss, damage, cost or expense is not covered by this Takaful coverage, the burden of proving the contrary shall be upon the Participant. In the event any portion of this exclusion is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect. Subject otherwise to the terms and conditions of this Certificate.
