4 1. Distribution Chain Sequence of Persons and Entities through which the products, transactions and services flow. 2. Distribution Channel a Person (Natural or Juridical) such as retail outlet, service outlet, electronic platform, and other similar channels that may be allowed by the Insurance Commission. 3. Channel Contractor a duly licensed MI General Agent or Broker, a Cooperative Insurance Society or Mutual Benefit Association, a General Agent or Broker offering MicroHealth or MicroPre-Need products. 4. Designated Seller a licensed person designated by a channel contractor to be in charge of selling in a registered distribution channel.

8 1. The channels misconduct, if any; 2. Assigning and placing designated sellers to each distribution channel; 3. Capacity building of the distribution channel; 4. Registration with the Insurance Commission; and 5. Collection storage transmission and protection of data.
9 1. Claims on Microinsurance are in small amounts; 2. Holders of Microinsurance reside in far flung areas; 3. Access to the Insurance Commission, by phone, fax, computer or physical visits, may be too costly and/or difficult Objective of ADReM To provide avenues to settle disputes through the swiftest and most accessible means. The ADR methods reduces the cost, time and complexity of any subsequent litigation.
10 1. Subsidiarity - amicable settlement of disputes between parties at levels closest to where disputes occur; 2. Procedural fairness a qualities process wherein a third party facilitator safeguards neutrality and ensures mutual respect; 3. Empowerment and Self-Determination parties are enabled to reach an independent voluntary and satisfactory agreement; 4. Effective Communication parties are encouraged to express themselves through a productive exchange of thoughts, opinions and ideas; and 5. Reconciliation allows parties to reach amicable settlements and rebuild relationships.
11 1. Least cost Dispute resolution process is affordable for all microinsurance stakeholders; 2. Accessible All stakeholders of the microinsurance sector must have convenient access to ADR mechanisms at the local levels, based on clear procedures that are easily understood; 3. Practical the ADR process must be feasible and appropriate for the microinsurance sector, taking into account the needs of diverse stakeholders, and existing systems and policies. Available resources must be maximized for sustainability; 4. Effective a successful ADR process will result in mutually acceptable agreements that are durable; 5. Timely disputes will be resolved swiftly and within the time prescribed by rules set by the regulators.
