10 Notes to the Accounts 5 Ceylinco Insurance PLC is liable to pay income tax at the rate of 28% of its taxable profits in accordance with the provisions of the Inland revenue Act,No.24 of. 6 An amount of Rs. 2,700,000,000/- has been transferred as surplus out of the non-participating fund of the Life fund on the recommendation of the actuary for the 9 months period. 7 The Board of Directors has proposed a Final dividend of Rs per share (Rs. 832,056,120 /-) for the year ended 31st December, which was approved by the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting held on 25th May and paid subsequently. 8 No circumstances have arisen since the last Balance Sheet date which would require adjustments to or disclosure in the Interim Financial Statements other than those disclosed in above Note No There has not been a significant change in the nature of the Contingent Liabilities and Contingent Assets which were disclosed in the Annual Report for the year ended 31st December. 10 The nature of Related Party transactions in the period under review is similar to those reported in the Annual Report in year. 11 Share Information As at As at Net Asset per Share (Rs.)
