Print out your entrant number and attach it to your crazy self on race day. This is how photos will be tagged later on. 5. Turn up on race day with plenty of time to get pumped before your wave leaves.

2 DECLARATION AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY Note: Parent or legal guardian must agree to the Declaration and Waiver of Liability if the person registering is under 18 years of age. The parent or legal guardian accepts and voluntarily assumes the risks of personal injury or property damage that may result from this potentially hazardous activity on behalf of the child. Any person registering on behalf of other participants accepts and voluntarily assumes all risks associated with acceptance of this Declaration and Waiver of Liability. I acknowledge and confirm the following: That the Hot as Hell Mud Run is entered into by me voluntarily and at my own request and that I waive any and all claims I may now or in future have against, and release from all liability and agree not to sue (the Organiser ), their officers, employees, guides, agents or representatives (collectively referred to herein as the Staff ) in respect of any personal injury, death, property damage, or loss sustained by me as a result of my participation in this adventure event due to any cause whatsoever, including without any limitation, negligence on the part of the Organiser or their Staff. I am aware that this adventure event, in addition to the usual dangers and risks inherent in such an event has certain additional dangers and risks, some of which may include physical exertion for which I may not be prepared, weather extremes being subject to sudden and unexpected change, injured, taken ill or otherwise disabled in any way. I accept all the risks inherent in this proposed adventure event including all usual and additional risks and whether or not such risks are expressly stated above, and the possibility of personal injury, death, property damage or loss resulting there-from. I am aware that the presence of physical obstacles containing mud and water and physical requirements to climb, crawl and traverse man-made structures and uneven and rough terrain that may present an added risk to injury during this event in addition to the injuries that may occur due to the physical requirements for completion of the course. I attest and verify that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the completion of this event. I acknowledge that the enjoyment and excitement of adventure events which I seek is derived in part from the risks inherent in activity beyond the accepted and customary safety of life at home or work, and that these inherent risks are a significant reason for my participation in this adventure event. I agree that if I suffer injury or illness of any kind whatsoever the Organiser or his representative or Staff can, at my cost, arrange medical treatment and emergency evacuation service, as the Organiser or his representative or Staff deems essential for my safety or for the safety of other participants in the adventure event. (Note: Hay Magpies Rugby League Football Club Inc. advises against participating in this event if you are pregnant due to the physical nature of the course. If you are pregnant you must consult a medical practitioner before racing, and Hay Magpies Rugby League Football Club Inc. recommends that participants speak to their obstetrician or treating doctor.) DECLARATION I declare that the information provided in the registration form is correct and that I have not withheld any information or material. I indemnify and will keep indemnified the Organiser against all costs, losses or damages arising from or in relation to my attendance at or participation in the event including the attendance or participation of any person in my care. I agree that I will not take any legal or illegal substance before or during the event that may affect my judgment or physical responses during the event. I understand that the Organiser reserves the right to cancel the Hot as Hell Mud Run, at their sole discretion, in the event of the activity being deemed unsafe due to weather conditions or any other event that may occur. I understand that the Organiser has the right to stop me from participating in the event if I am deemed unfit or at risk to participate. I grant the Organiser and the Event Partners authority to use photographs taken during this event to be used in promotional and advertising material for the Organiser s and Event Partner s purposes. Further, I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the aforementioned entities to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of my participation in this event for any legitimate purpose including commercial advertising. I consent to the free use of my name and pictures of me in any broadcast, telecast and print by the Organiser and/or the Event Sponsors in relation to the event. I agree that if I do not participate in the event for any reason, my entry fee will not be refunded and no liability will attach to the Organiser or the Event Sponsors in relation to this. I hereby state that I have read the event rules for the Hot as Hell MS Mud Run as outlined below and on the event website and I agree to abide by the following: 1. All participants agree to the online waiver and declaration which releases and indemnifies the Hay Magpies Rugby League Football Club Inc. in regards to acknowledgment of risks, injury and obligations. 2. Failure to commence your designated wave on time will result in cancellation of your registration and a refund will not be issued. 3. For safety reasons no access will be allowed during the building of the course. All will be revealed on the day! 4. Any intentional physical contact or unsportsmanlike behaviour will be grounds for disqualification. 5. After completion of your wave, participants must exit the course after they reach the finish line. 6. Spectators are not allowed on the course. 7. All participants must wear closed shoes while competing (no spikes, steel caps or studs allowed). 8. No BYO alcohol. 9. The consumption of alcohol or illicit drugs before or during your wave is strictly forbidden. If it is suspected you are affected by illicit drugs or alcohol the Organisers have the right to prevent you from participating. 10. During the race participants must stay within the confines of the course at all times.

3 11. Participants must follow the instructions of race marshals and staff at all times. I agree to abide by the directions of officials and I understand that my entry may be voided if through my actions or behaviour, in the opinion of the Organisers, I break any of the rules or I bring the event into disrepute. I further understand that the Organisers reserve the right to reject any entry without having to justify their actions. In entering into this agreement, I am not relying on any representations or statements by the Organiser or his Staff whatsoever, including but not limited to oral, written or visual representations, or any other inducement or coercion to go on the adventure event. Rather, I do so solely of my own free will after making my own independent assessment of the risks and benefits. I confirm that I am either over the age of 18 years or my guardian or parent agrees that this agreement will be binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators and successors. 4 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS THE EVENT Do I need to be a mega super awesome runner to do this? LOL, NO. There are plenty of other places to test your speed. This is all about a dirty, muddy, hot, crazy day with friends and family. You can run, walk, crawl, or cartwheel if you wish! Is race timed? This is not a timed event. Runners tend to take their sweet time out there and we realised no one really cares about their speed. We suggest self-timing for anyone desiring a finish time. Can I take photos or film at the event? Snap away! This is a great event to get great visuals for your memories, to post to Insta, Facebook or Twitter and such. We welcome anyone to photograph or film at our event for PERSONAL use only. So please, come along, enjoy the event and take shots until your colourful heart is content. All we ask is that you use our hashtag #HOTASHELLHAY. If you are having too much fun to bother taking pix, don t stress; we will have ninja photographers snooping around and these images will be available for sale after the event, so make sure your entrant number is visible. Where can I leave my gear? There are no locker facilities at the Start/Finish line so we suggest you leave your valuables at home, with spectators, in your motel or in your car. Parking will be limited, however there is a car park across the road for early birds, and being a small town visitors can probably walk from your motel. Can spectators attend? Yep Food and drinks are available all day, so spectators are free you come down and watch the fun, and feel bad cause they didn t enter. REGISTRATION What is included with my entry fee Other than an amazing day of fun and dirt, your entry fee includes a stubby holder and sticker. You re welcome. Is there an age limit for younger runners? Yep entry is for 12 years and over only. Am I able to receive a refund? Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds. The logistics of setting up and planning the event make it impossible. Just make sure you are good to go before signing up. If for some reason you can t make it to race day, you're welcome to transfer your registration over to someone else by ing us at hot-as-hell@outlook.com. Obviously, don t try and us on race day we re gunna be busy THE COURSE How far is it from start to finish? We are a casual mob, so our best estimate is 6km. Give or take. Don t worry too much about that, just enjoy the experience! How many obstacles are there? More than 15; less than 10,000. Feel free to count as you go. Can I run with a jogging stroller and my kids? No entry is open to 12 years and over only. Please arrange a babysitter and go enjoy yourself instead. Is the course wheel-chair friendly? No we are not banning wheelchairs, but advise that less ambient entrant will need assistance in getting around the course and some obstacles will have to be avoided. That being said, we encourage everyone to join in and have a good time, and a crack at the course. If you have any questions about entrants with disabilities please hot-as-hell@outlook.com to discuss. Can I bring my scooter or bike? Unfortunately, due to safety reasons, the answer is no. Sorry! Can I run with my dog? Sorry, NO DOGS or fury friends at the event. You ll possibly smell like a wet dog as it is.

5 Am I going to get dirty? Seriously? Yes, yes you ll get dirty, if you take advantage of the muddy awesomeness we have prepared for you! You ll get covered in mud / dust / dirt etc but it s not like you ll contract the plague. Take usual precautions with scrapes and scratches to be totally safe, but other than that enjoy it! We suggest you wear clothing and shoes that either you are happy to scrub, or happy to chuck away afterwards. And by chuck away we mean take home with you, and throw out there. What if an obstacle is too hard? We aren t the Police, you know. The obstacles are there to challenge you but we also want you to enjoy your day, so if you need to go around one, then by all means do it! No biggie; move on. Is water supplied? Food and drinks are available at the start/finish line, however entrants are encouraged to BYO water bottle if they prefer. Please note the name of this event and the date it is being run in Hay in February it can get as hot as hell, so take sun and heat protection precautions. Slam down some pre-workout stuff from a gym junky mate if you must; you ll feel like a warrior! Do you have cleaning stations at the finish line? Good old fashioned sprinklers will be available for hose down if you feel the need. It is actually pretty fun to see people still dirty after the event. It is like a badge of honour! TEAMS Can I create a team? Why not! Get a band of mates together, dress in questionable outfits, and call yourselves a team. To ensure you stay together, it s advisable that you all enter and pay together, prior to the event, to ensure you all get the same wave time. CHARITY Is this race a Charity Event? The Hot as Hell is hosted by the Magpies, Hay s local rugby league team, and funds generated will be used to fund our teams in the upcoming season. We also get ourselves involved in local events, causes and issues, so by taking part you are supporting our community. SAFETY & INSURANCE Is there insurance? Your entry fee provides limited insurance cover, under a public liability scheme, however your entry conditions also include acceptance of the waiver. Full details can be requested by ing hot-as-hell@outlook.com. Am I likely to get hurt? This Mud Run is meant to be challenging and will cross dirt roads, bush tracks and paddocks. The course will be covered with sticks, burrs and rocks, because this even happens in the outdoors. It ll also be summer and very probably hot as hell, so we advise you use your common sense and be prepared. There is also the possibility of snakes, spiders and similar creatures of evil stay away from anything of the like. The course runs adjacent to the Murrumbidgee River, however this is not part of the course it is a river, and as such carries its own hazards. If you feel like a swim after your race, ask an organiser for directions to Hay s FREE swimming pool. Is there first aid available? The State Emergency Service will provide emergency care and will be located at the Start/Finish line. If you are worried, feel free to visit their tent. If first aid is required along the track, locate the nearest volunteer (flouro vest people) and they will assist you. ALSO What if I have a super sweet question that isn t answered here?
