This means that your money is protected, as any premiums you pay to us are treated by the insurer as having been paid directy to them. Fees Pease note that if you amend your poicy during the poicy period and have paid by credit card or cheque, we wi be unabe to refund any amounts of 5 or ess. Simiary, we wi ony request any charges from you if the amount is over 5.

2 Poicy Summary This summary does not contain the fu terms and conditions of the Saga Marine Lega Protection Insurance poicy. Fu detais can be found in the Poicy Book which is avaiabe on request by caing Saga on or by downoading a copy onine at saga.co.uk/boat. It is important that you read and check the poicy documentation carefuy when you receive it. Name of the insurance undertaking The insurance cover summarised in this document is provided by Inter Partner Assistance SA, and administered on their behaf by Arc Lega Assistance Ltd. Type of insurance and cover The insurance covers advisers costs, temporary repacement costs, emergency expenses and mooring fees as set out within the sections of cover up to the imit of indemnity where:- a) The insured incident takes pace in the insured period and within the territoria imits and b) The proceedings (other than in reation to temporary repacement costs, emergency expenses and mooring fees) take pace in the territoria imits. 2

3 What is covered Who is covered What is not covered How much is covered Section 1 Uninsured oss recovery and persona injury pursuit You or your representatives (in the event of death) are covered for advisers costs to pursue caims for damages foowing a coision, impact, fire or fooding causing damage to the vesse against those who have caused your injury or death or caused you to incur uninsured osses. vesse and any authorised skipper, crew or guests. Proceedings pursued against the owner, skipper or crew of the vesse or guests aboard the vesse at the time of the insured incident. Caims arising from: - a) Medica or cinica treatment, advice, assistance or care b) Stress, psychoogica or emotiona injury c) Iness, persona injury or death which is caused graduay or is not caused by a specific event. Up to 150,000 per insured incident. Section 2 Contract disputes You are covered for advisers costs to pursue or defend proceedings foowing a breach of a contract you have entered into for buying or seing goods or services in connection with the vesse. vesse. Where the ega jurisdiction of the contract is outside of the territoria imits. Disputes arising from any commercia activity or venture for gain in connection with the vesse, incuding chartering. A dispute about either the amount an insurance company shoud pay to sette an insurance caim or the way a caim shoud be setted. Up to 100,000 per insured incident. Section 3 Prosecution defence You are covered for advisers costs to defend crimina prosecutions brought against you arising from your ownership or use of the vesse. You are ony covered for peas in mitigation where such a pea is more ikey than not to reduce any penaty that may be awarded against you. vesse and any authorised skipper or crew. Aegations of dishonesty, vioence, deiberate, reckess or intentiona acts, or whist being in contro of the vesse whist under the infuence of acoho or drugs. Damages, interest, fines or costs awarded against you. Up to 100,000 per insured incident. 3

4 What is covered Who is covered What is not covered How much is covered Section 4 Emergency expenses You are covered for emergency expenses to return to the United Kingdom (UK), Channe Isands (CI) or the Ise of Man (IoM) if the vesse is damaged in an accident foowing a coision, impact, fire or fooding rendering it unseaworthy whist the vesse is outside of the UK, CI or the IoM. You are covered for emergency expenses to trave from the UK, CI or IoM to return to the vesse whist it is outside of the UK, CI or the IoM foowing repairs within four months. vesse and any authorised skipper, crew or guests. There is no cover for emergency expenses uness you have caimed under the insurance poicy to which this cover attaches for the repairs to the vesse and that caim has been accepted. Up to a maximum of 300 per person, 1,200 per insured incident. Section 5 Mooring fees You are covered for mooring fees if you are unabe to use the vesse as a resut of:- a) Your accidenta injury or iness of such severity that you are unabe to use the vesse for any purpose, or b) Accidenta oss or damage to the vesse of such severity that you are unabe to use it for any purpose. vesse. The first seven days of mooring fees in reation to each and every insured incident. Where you coud reasonaby have known when entering into the contract for mooring fees or purchasing this insurance that a caim under this insurance might occur. Mooring fees if any oss or damage to the vesse arises from wear and tear or mechanica or eectrica faiure or breakdown. Up to 28 days mooring fees per insured incident. Section 6 Temporary repacement costs You are covered for temporary repacement costs foowing a non-faut coision or impact resuting in accidenta oss or damage to the vesse of such severity that you are unabe to use it for a trip that was panned prior to the insured incident. vesse. 5 Other important Significant Excusions and Limitations of this poicy There is no cover for any ega costs incurred by any soicitor other than our pane soicitor prior to the issue of ega proceedings uness a confict of interest arises. If your ega caim has prospects of success, we wi choose an adviser to act on your behaf. You may choose another representative if there is a confict of interest, or there is an inquiry or court proceedings are about to be commenced. If you do exercise your right to choose a representative: i. The representative you choose wi become the adviser. ii. You must notify us as soon as possibe of the name, address and contact detais of the adviser. iii. You wi be required to ensure that the adviser compies as appropriate with the terms of this poicy on your behaf by: a) keeping us updated reguary with the progress of your ega caim; b) keeping us informed reguary of ega costs incurred; c) informing us of any settement offers made to or by you; and d) keeping us reguary updated and informed of other things regarding the conduct of your ega caim which may ead to an outcome or a cost that is not anticipated at the commencement of your ega caim. With your prior agreement we wi be entited to contact your adviser to discuss, and if possibe agree, the rates that wi be paid by us to the adviser for acting on your behaf. The amount that we wi pay in respect of ega costs (meaning those propery incurred and proportionate fees and expenses charged by the adviser) sha not in any circumstances exceed houry rates in ine with those pubished in the Senior Courts Cost Office Guide for Summary Assessments of Costs which your adviser wi have readiy avaiabe and which you shoud ask to see. The rate appicabe wi be the guideine rate at the time the work was conducted, for the ocation in which your adviser carries on business or on your home address (whichever is the ower) and for the grade of fee earner which is appropriate for the nature or compexity of the case or task being performed. If your adviser refuses to accept the guideine rates, you wi be iabe to pay the adviser any difference between what we pay and the amount sought by the adviser. There is no cover for: - caims where we consider there to be ess than a 51% chance of success caims which arise outside of the territoria imits insured incidents that occur before the insured period costs incurred without our prior consent. Duration of cover The Lega Protection cover attaches to and is vaid for the same duration as the insurance poicy with which it is provided. Canceation rights (cooing off period) You have the right to cance your poicy during a period of 14 days from either the date of purchase or the date on which you receive your poicy documentation, whichever is the ater. If the poicy is canceed during the 14-day cooing off period and cover has commenced, we wi give you a pro-rata refund of premium based on the cover you have had. If you do wish to cance your poicy and the cover has not yet commenced you wi be entited to a fu refund of the premium. If, after the 14-day cooing off period you have not canceed your poicy, we wi assume that you have accepted the terms and want your poicy to continue for the agreed period of cover. 5

6 Right of canceation You may cance this insurance at any time by contacting Saga. Saga may cance the insurance by giving fourteen days notice in writing to you at the address shown on the Schedue of the insurance poicy to which this cover attaches, or an aternative address provided by you. No refund of premium sha be made. To make a caim As soon as you have a ega probem that you may require assistance with under this insurance you shoud teephone the 24-hour ega and caims advice ine on and quote Saga. Making a compaint about a caim If you are unhappy with the service that has been provided, you shoud contact Arc Lega Assistance Ltd at the address beow. If they cannot sette your compaint you may be entited to refer it to the Financia Ombudsman Service. For fu detais of their compaints procedure, pease see the Poicy Book.
