1 Thurston County Transportation Benefit District 2000 Lakeridge Dr SW, Olympia WA Tel TRANSPORTATION BENEFIT DISTRICT ANNUAL REPORT FY 2015 The Board of County Commissioners adopted an ordinance on Dec. 30, 2014 that created the Thurston County Transportation Benefit District or TC- TBD that covers the unincorporated areas of the county with the intent to preserve the existing roadway system, improve safety and update technology to meet the needs of existing and foreseeable traffic conditions.

3 ANNUAL REPORT SUMMARY Annual Report Summary PURPOSE In accordance with Revised Code of Washington the Transportation District Board must issue an annual report, indicating the status of transportation improvement costs, transportation improvement expenditures, revenues, and construction schedules. This report will serve as the districts annual report to comply with state law and provide information to the public on how the district revenues have been spent. PROGRAM SUMMARY Transportation System Preservation Program Preserve, operate, maintain, and/or improve existing transportation infrastructures Transportation System Safety Program Improve the safety performance and security of those who use the transportation system. Transportation System Technology Program Use technology-based approaches to address transportation congestion, safety performance, efficiency, and operations. These expenses would be paid by the District once a funding source is established.
