10 Additional Programs Credit Builder Loans A good credit score is an essential asset in the American economy. Many people may have a thin or damaged credit profile that makes it difficult for them to rent an apartment, get a credit card or loan, and it can even impact their ability to get certain types of jobs. Community Capital offers a small dollar loan to those who want to build their credit profile. By reporting the borrower s on time payments to the credit reporting agencies each month, the borrower builds a stronger credit profile and can improve their credit score. This program is offered in collaboration with community partners.
11 Additional Programs Hispanic Business Initiative with Pattern for Progress Community Capital has partnered with Pattern for Progress, a regional think tank on two grants, one from NYSEG and one from the federal EDA to study the unique needs of Hispanic Business owners in four villages and six cities in the Hudson Valley. Based on the outcomes of the study, the plan is to develop an implementable program to help Hispanic entrepreneurs access capital and small business training to improve business outcomes.
