3 MEMBERSHIP. JOIN THE AVADIAN FAMILY. It is easier than you think to join. All you need to do is: 1. Meet one of the following eligibility requirements: - Live, work, worship or attend school in one of the counties we serve. - Be an employee of a qualifying Select Employee Group (SEG). - Be related to a current Avadian member. 2. 4 SAVINGS OPTIONS. BECAUSE NOT EVERYONE SAVES THE SAME WAY. Your relationship with us starts with your Avadian savings account. By maintaining a $5 minimum balance in an active savings account, you are part-owner of the credit union and eligible to apply for more services and products, such as our not-so-basic savings accounts listed here. Health Savings Account (HSA) Your health is your wealth. Unfortunately, it comes at a cost. Save accordingly with an HSA, a medical savings account that affords you the opportunity to make your own health care decisions. It serves as an account you can put money into for future medical expenses and works like a checking account. To learn more, including tax benefits, contribution limits, withdrawals and eligibility requirements, visit or consult your tax advisor. Christmas Club Be smart and plan for the most wonderful (and expensive) time of the year. Funds are available for withdrawal October through December without penalty. The penalty is in place to help you stay focused on your goal, so you don t unexpectedly spend Christmas in July. You re welcome. Youth Savings Programs Parents spend a great deal of energy worrying about what their kids are eating, who they are spending time with, and how they are doing in school. They sometimes forget that raising a successful adult requires financial smarts. We can help. Our Kids Savings School (ages 12 and under) and our Edge Savings account (ages 13-19) are designed to develop the money management skills they will one day need to tackle the real world.
