This must be stated according to agreement with the bank in point. Ordering party s account, i.e. account to be debited for the cross-border payments, and the country code of the country where the account is situated, are indicated in RT 7. Special terms = D. 4.2 Beneficiary account and Beneficiary s bank BENEFICIARY ACCOUNT Beneficiary account is to be identified as IBAN where available. See for further information about how IBAN and BBAN are stated in different countries. UTLI format Cross-border payments Page 20 (33)

21 4.2.2 BENEFICIARY S BANK The beneficiary bank is to be identified preferably with BIC and when requested National bank ID. These should be entered consecutively without spaces, regardless of how they are written on the payment invoice. It is optional to identify the beneficiary bank if beneficiary account is stated as IBAN. In some countries the beneficiary bank may not have a BIC of its own. In these cases, a National bank Id can be specified and must be entered with no spaces and start with a two letter clearing national system code, see table below. Country Length of ID Description Australia AU + 6 digits Australian Bank State Branch Code (BSB) Canada CC + 9 digits Canadian Payments Association Payment Routing China CN + 12 digits CNAPS code Hong Kong HK + 6 digits Hong Kong National Clearing Code (CHATS) Russia RU + 9 digits Russian Central Bank Identification Code South Africa SC + 6 digits Sort Code USA FW + 9 digits ABA/Fed Wire Routing Number 4.3 Reference/Message to the beneficiary This is a free field where the remitter can enter an invoice number, a customer number and other references as well as information that may be needed by the beneficiary. If more space than the 25 positions available in RT 6 is required, you can continue to write references/messages after RT 7 in new payment records with amount fields set to zero. Every specific payment record must be followed by a central bank record. This means reporting every other record as a payment record or a central bank record. Thus the first payment record in the invoice will contain both the amount and the first reference field MESSAGE TO BENEFICIARIES IN CHINA For payments in CNY to beneficiaries in Mainland China the first line in the message to the beneficiary must contain one of the following codes: /CGODDR/ - indicating cross-border goods trade /CSTRDR/ - indicating cross-border service trade /CCTFDR/ - indicating cross-border capital transfer /CCDNDR/ - indicating charity donation /COCADR/ - indicating other current account transactions HANDELSBANKEN POLAND It is mandatory to enter a message to the beneficiary for cross-border payments from accounts in Poland. The ordering customer has to give the details of the payment. A reference must be stated, e.g. goods, consulting services, loans, interest etc. The invoice number is not sufficient information. The obligation to supply this information does not depend on the amount of payment HANDELSBANKEN SWEDEN If the reference to the beneficiary is longer than 4x35 characters, there will be a link added to the field Message to the beneficiary, together with a code. The beneficiary will have access to the reference UTLI format Cross-border payments Page 21 (33)

22 information via this link. The remitter will receive the information in electronic documents in Handelsbanken online corporate banking service and by post HANDELSBANKEN OTHER COUNTRIES AND OTHER BANKS When the debit account is not in Handelsbanken Sweden, the payment order will be forwarded via SWIFT to the bank holding the debit account. Then maximum 4 X 25 characters can be included per payment order. This means that RT 6 and RT 7 can only be repeated three times per payment order. 4.4 EUR payments within Europe (SEPA Credit Transfer) This is only valid for EUR payments within the EU, EEA, Switzerland and Monaco. It is not possible to choose to make this type of payment; the bank will automatically classify the payment as a EUR payment within Europe (SEPA Credit Transfer) if following requirements are fulfilled.
