Consequenty, in the 2016 Annual Report, the 2015 statistics are reconfigured under the new profiles introduced in 2016. In 2015, the applications from national/subnational authorities were registered as applications under Regulation 1049/2001. In 2016, they are no longer registered as such, as they are considered as applications made under the principle of sincere cooperation between the Commission and Member States. 5
