Thank you. our home repair program Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity s Home Repair Program began in 2008 and builds on Habitat s traditional homeownership model of using affordable payment options, sweat equity, and volunteer labor to serve current low-income homeowners who are struggling to maintain their homes or make necessary critical repairs. Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity s Home Repair Program s focus is non-emergency health and safety related, interior and exterior, critical repairs that preserve the home and raise the quality of life for the homeowner. The Home Repair Program offers volunteer and staff labor at no cost to the homeowner. Photos will be taken to document the current condition of home. 5. The scope of work is defined by Habitat and agreed upon by both parties before an estimate is finalized. 6. Eligible projects are forwarded to our Home Repair Selection Committee to be considered for approval. 7. Homeowners will be informed if project is approved or denied. 8. A home repair contract agreement and promissory note is signed by the homeowner of approved projects. 9. The 10% project down payment is collected. 10. partnering with home repair Families who wish to participate in the Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity Home Repair Program must meet the selection criteria established by Habitat for Humanity International. The criteria includes: Need Families must provide evidence of how the repair would improve the health, safety, and/or quality of life of themselves, their families and their home.
