EB 2015/114/R.20 Report on the status of s to the Tenth Replenishment of IFAD s Resources 1. At its thirty-eighth session held on 16-17 February 2015, the Governing Council adopted Resolution 186/XXXVIII on the Tenth Replenishment of IFAD s resources (IFAD10). 2. For the information of the Executive Board, the present document contains the following annexes: Annex I Annex II Annex III Summary of the status of s to IFAD10 as at 20 February 2015 Status of Member States s to IFAD10 as at 20 February 2015 Status of Member States s to IFAD10 for Debt Sustainability Framework (DSF) compensation as at 20 February 2015 3. Paragraph I.(d) of the resolution specifies a period of six months after the date of adoption of the resolution in which Member States may pledge or increase their pledges to the replenishment. These pledges will be taken into account in calculating the votes for the Tenth Replenishment. The target amount for the Tenth Replenishment is US$1.44 billion, of which US$1.02 billion (71 per cent) has so far been pledged. 4. In the event that the structural gap exceeds 15 per cent at the end of the six-month period for the creation of new votes specified in paragraph I.(d) of the resolution, the target level specified in paragraph I.(b) shall be adjusted so that the total amount of the pledges received at that date represents at least 85 per cent of the target level. To reach such a percentage, as of 20 February 2015, further pledges to the amount of US$203.8 million are required. 5. Member States are accordingly encouraged to notify IFAD of their pledges to the Tenth Replenishment as soon as possible and, in any event, before 17 August 2015. 6. Member States are also encouraged to make advance payments of their s prior to the effectiveness of the replenishment, in accordance with paragraph V of the resolution. The replenishment will come into effect, in accordance with paragraph IV.(a), once Member States have deposited instruments of relating to their s to IFAD of an aggregate total amount equivalent to at least 50 per cent of the total s to the replenishment from all Member States. 7. To ensure timely effectiveness of the Tenth Replenishment, Member States are therefore requested to deposit their respective instruments of with the Fund as soon as possible, preferably by 17 August 2015, that is, six months from the adoption of resolution 186/XXXVIII. 8.
