2 SUMMARY OF COVER EDUCATION ANNUAL GROUP TRAVEL INSURANCE Policy ref: PD2516 What is a summary of cover? This document provides key information about the Education annual group travel policy. Please note that this summary of cover does not contain the full terms and conditions of this contract. These can be found in the policy wording which is available on our web-site at www.ecclesiastical.com/p2516 If you have any questions please contact your insurance broker. Policy name: Education annual group travel policy (for educational establishments in the school, further and higher education sectors) PD2516 12/16 Type of insurance: The policy is designed for educational establishments in the school, further and higher education sectors, providing travel insurance for all organised overseas trips made over the course of the year, plus UK trips that involve booked accommodation. It has been designed to provide essential travel covers such as medical expenses and cancellation costs, whilst eliminating duplication of cover which could arise under the establishment s main business policy. This policy is designed for you, the Educational establishment, to provide the group with a cover which applies automatically for all participants and is not to be sold on a selective basis to individuals. Underwritten by: Ecclesiastical Insurance Office plc. Legal expenses provided in partnership with DAS Legal Expenses Insurance Company Limited. Duration of your policy: 12 months from the start date shown on your policy schedule. Renewal of your policy: We will send you notice that your policy is approaching renewal, before it is due. Your requirements may change over time, so you may benefit from reviewing the value, cover and level of service provided by your policy. The sections you have chosen to insure and the applicable sums insured are shown on your policy schedule.

EDUCATION ANNUAL GROUP TRAVEL INSURANCE SUMMARY OF COVER 3 Key benefits include: Easy to operate: All overseas Educational trips you arrange will be included, subject to you providing an initial declaration of the anticipated destinations and durations of trips and expected numbers of participants. We collect a 75% deposit premium at the outset (based on your initial declaration) with an adjustment at the end of the period of insurance when you confirm the final details. We will supply you with Certificates to show the extent of cover to participants. Tailored cover for educational trips: Up to 10,000,000 per person for overseas medical and emergency expenses for trips outside of the United Kingdom Additional benefit payment of 50 for each day the insured person has to stay in hospital up to 3,000 per person (similar benefit payments are made for hi-jack and kidnap) Up to 5,000 per person if the trip has to be cancelled or cut short because someone close to the insured person dies or due to a range of other specified reasons Up to 5,000 to send a substitute group leader or helper to complete a tour Up to 30 per person for food and other expenses you incur on behalf of the group in the event of delayed departures due to certain causes Up to 250 per person for emergency purchase of clothing and toiletry items, should a member of the group be deprived of their baggage for 12 hours or more Whilst overseas, up to 1,000 for your money held by the group leader, and up to 500 per person for the money of individuals, including fraudulent use of credit and debit cards Cover to replace documents and passports which have been lost or stolen up to 500 per person Personal accident benefits for students up to 18 years of age (cover for employees is available under the main Education policy) Legal expenses for personal injury up to 50,000 per claim Additional cover available at an extra cost Winter sports cover for skiing trips, provided you tell us about these in advance The following four special clauses provide cover which you may need if you do not hold a current Ecclesiastical Education policy for your business (if you do cover is usually provided automatically or as an option under that contract) - Group equipment - Personal baggage for participants - Personal liability for participants - Employees personal accident cover

4 SUMMARY OF COVER EDUCATION ANNUAL GROUP TRAVEL INSURANCE Significant or unusual exclusions/limitations: Cover for any person age 75 years or over Travel to any destination where the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has advised against all travel If you are in a country when the FCO status changes we will continue to provide cover for up to 7 days, after this time all cover will cease (if the status of your destination changes before you travel, please contact us and we will advise you if we can provide cover or the alternatives that apply) Cover where the group member is travelling against medical advice Student personal accident benefits are 25,000 for permanent total disability, loss of limbs or loss of sight and 10,000 for death Cover for money and passports requires the loss to be reported to the Police, transport carrier or in respect of the passport the Consular representative within twenty-four hours of discovery Money excludes losses from unattended vehicles or unaccompanied baggage The Personal accident accumulation limit is 1,500,000 (this is the most we will pay for any group of persons injured or killed by the same event) For legal expenses, if you choose not to use DAS s preferred law firm, we ll only pay based on the amount we would have paid DAS s preferred law firm and we exclude claims which do not have reasonable prospects of success A 50 excess applies for most claims under this policy Important note: medical treatment and medical referrals This is not a private medical insurance. We will pay for private treatment only if there is no appropriate recipricol health agreement in existence and no public service available. We reserve the right to organise a transfer from a private medical facility to a public medical facility where appropriate. In the even of medical treatment becoming necessary for which reimbursement will be sought, we or our representatives will require unrestricted access to all your medical records and information.
