A free workshop with Not for Profit and taxation specialists. As the implementation date of FRS102 creeps closer, and the date for setting opening balances has already passed, we take a look at what conversion to FRS 102 means. We will look at the main aspects of transition in more detail and also consider the activities of the SORP Committee and recent consultations. There will be an update from our tax specialists on VAT, corporation tax and gift aid to keep you abreast of the latest developments and HMRC s hot topics. Our speakers will be: Sarah Anderson Senior Manager, Audit Advisory Sarah specialises in charity accounting and is a newly elected member of the Charity Commission s SORP Committee. Sarah will look at relevant aspects of FRS102 in more detail, consider the future of the FRSSE for small trading subsidiaries and give an insight into the SORP Committee s role in developing accounting standards. Martin Pearson Senior Manager, VAT Martin has a breadth of experience advising a wide variety of Not for Profit organisations ranging from small community projects to national charities. Through his hands on approach, Martin has a deep awareness of the practical implications of VAT on the activities of Not for Profit entities. Julia Fox Senior Manager, Corporate tax Julia works with public, private and third sector organisations providing advice on all aspects of direct tax, which has enabled her to develop a unique commercial focus to the tax advice she provides to Not for Profit entities.
