Speaker Biographies Michael has gained hands on experience in the Middle East and North Africa Region having practiced in the United Arab Emirates for over nine years and supervised the organic growth of Bin Shabib and Associates (BSA) LLP into the five jurisdictions in which it now operates. His specific areas of experience include Directors and Officers duties under UAE and DIFC laws, setting up of insurance and reinsurance companies in the GCC, business acquisitions in the energy sector, joint ventures in various industries and deregistration of commercial agencies. Michael heads a team of eight corporate lawyers who are involved in corporate and regulatory advice in relation to all aspects of corporate law, including cross-border business transactions, real estate, insurance and mergers and acquisitions in the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Oman and Lebanon. Bertrand Dumon is a corporate partner and cofounder of Arago Paris and managing partner of Arago Dubai. Prior to join Arago, Bertrand was international partner and head of Corporate Group of Watson, Farley & Williams LLP Paris office. Bertrand has been involved in numerous cross-border transactions such as acquisitions, joint-ventures, setting up of subsidiaries, financing and restructuring, where he advised international companies and investors. Bertrand has also developed recognized and prominent expertise in private equity transactions (LBOs, MBO, venture capital) and, more generally, corporate finance and financial engineering. His experience also includes securities and stock market regulations (assisting companies on various securities issues, Public offering and IPOs), and litigation. Bertrand advises companies and investment funds in particular in the renewable sector, energy, commodities trading, as well as in the new media, information technology sectors. Bertrand actively practices in the Middle East, Africa, China, USA, Europe and Canada. Bertrand has a PhD in Contract Law from the University of Paris - Nanterre. Speaker Biographies Ibrahim Mohamed Al Janahi is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Jafza and Chief Commercial Officer of Economic Zones World. He is responsible for providing strategic direction to the company s commercial operations in Jafza and the region. Al Janahi has played a significant role in the incredible growth of Jafza in the last one decade. He joined the free zone in 2002 as the Regional Manager for Europe and moved rapidly through various management roles to reach to his present position. He is an industry veteran having more than 25 years management experience. Prior to joining Jafza he held various management positions in Central Bank - UAE. Al Janahi is a graduate in Business Management, from Colorado, USA. Ibrahim Al Janahi Deputy CEO JAFZA Antoine Succar, 48, graduated from the Ponts & Chaussées French School of engineering in 1989. From 1989 to 2000, he was successively Chief Engineer, Head of the Quality Service, and Head of the Scientific and Development Departments at the Séchaud & Metz company, which is part of the Electricité De France Group and employs 80 engineers. After this, he moved to Aircelle (Safran group) in November 2000. There, he was appointed head of the Stress Office for Business & Regional Jets, in charge of CF34 thrust reverser (FTR) certification for the ERJ 170 / 190 range of regional jets, and of the nacelles on the Dassault Falcon 7X business jet. In June 2006, he was put in charge of the CF34 program, with responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction (General Electric) and overall program profitability. From July 2009 to July 2012, Antoine Succar was appointed General Manager of AMES (Aerostructures Middle East Services) Antoine Succar Services Contracts Manager Safran Aircelle 4

Speaker Biographies Mansoor AL Bastaki is the Senior Sales Region Manager Europe of Jafza. He is responsible for facilitating the international growth of the companies with in Jafza and the region. Mansoor Al Bastaki has succeeded in supporting companies such as Michelin, Air France Industries, and Aircelle to have their regional operations in Jafza Mansoor has joined Jafza in 2006 after having 1 year experience at Emirates Airlines Global Commercial Operations. Mansoor holds a bachelor degree in Management and Marketing from the American University of Sharjah, UAE. Mansoor Al Bastaki Senior Sales Region Manager Europe Jafza Rima is an experienced corporate lawyer who has practiced in the UAE for over eight years. Rima specializes in advising corporate organizations, financial institutions and private equity funds on a wide range of legal issues including M&A transactions, legal due diligence, general commercial agreements, commercial agency law related disputes, IT related transactions, data protection and various regulatory matters. Rima has also advised and assisted clients in developing their business throughout the GCC, particularly in relation to regulatory matters concerning the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, and Oman covering both conventional and Islamic insurance. Speaker Biographies Laurent Moury is a Partner at Arago specialising in tax and property law. Laurent advises in all questions of property law and assists individuals and business directors, in both financial and industrial sectors, in optimizing their business and private assets, including management of taxes from cash flow. Laurent s experience includes assisting companies and French and international corporations to manage and optimize their taxes. On national and international levels, Laurent helps to structure their organization, their investments and cash flow. In coordination with M&A department, he deals with the tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and group restructuring. Laurent also has extensive experience in assisting companies in all contexts of tax litigation. Laurent Moury holds two master degrees (in tax law and international business law) from University Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne. Laurent education includes also IEP Paris (Paris Institute of Political Studies), IDPA (Institut of Public Business Law, University of Sceaux /Paris Bar) and CAPA barrister s vocational training certificate (French School of the Bar, Paris) Dr Saleh Bakr Al Tayar is a business attorney specialized in international Law and arbitration. He is also Knight of the Legion of Honor of the French Government. Dr Al Tayar is Secretary General of the Franco-Arab Chamber of Commerce since 2004. He is also President of Euro-Arab Center for Studies. Dr Al Tayar s specialized studies include for example the World Trade Organization and its competence concerning commercial litigations and its policy towards developing countries, amicable settling of commercial troubles linked to fusions and acquisitions of companies and also inadequacies of the judicial arbitration face to the International law.
