Congratulations on completing your time at Oxford, from all of us here at Queen s. Whether you are beginning your career, continuing your studies or travelling for a while, we hope you will stay in touch, wherever you may be. Membership of Queen s is lifelong and offers a wide range of benefits and opportunities; we hope we will continue to be a part of your life in the decades ahead. Queen s Old Members live in 95 countries across the globe. The sun is always shining somewhere on our community!
Events We hold an extensive programme of events. Each year you could join: The City of London Drinks a large popular networking event, The Young Alumni Drinks (also in London) and The Queen s Garden Party, for families young and old. There are two special events in College for young graduates, which are free of charge for you and a guest: The MA lunch, seven years after matriculation and The Ten Years Later lunch, ten years after matriculation. These events are very popular with new alumni and we would love to see you there. You can also still come back to College to play friendly rowing, football or cricket matches against our current teams let us know if you would be interested in participating or organising an event. The College regularly organises reunion dinners across the globe: recently we held events in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Washington DC, Montreal, Toronto, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vienna, Madrid and Sydney. Make sure to give us your details when you are working or studying abroad so that we can keep in touch. Over 650 Old Members came to a Queen s event in 2016, representing matriculation years across nine decades!
NETWORKING Our Old Members work in a wide variety of sectors across the globe and are always interested to meet or help out fellow alumni. If you are on LinkedIn we will invite you to join the Queen s Membership Group. The Old Members Office will always try to help with networking and careers advice on an informal basis, connecting you with those who might be able to help. Queen s Old Members work in a great variety of professions from Arts to Zoology, and everything in between!
RETURNING TO Queen s To dine... You are welcome to dine at High Table as an Old Member four years after taking your degree and can do so up to nine times in a year. You may bring your spouse, civil partner or partner to dine as your guest on Mondays in term time up to three times a year. Fellows are always pleased to welcome back Old Members, especially their former students. Do get in touch with the Old Members Office, and we will be happy to advise, check availability and offer alternatives if need be.
RETURNING TO Queen s To stay in College... You can book accommodation in College for up to three consecutive nights at the junior member rate. We offer a ground floor twin with an en suite shower and toilet. Please note that this is only available for Old Members and cannot be booked on behalf of a third party. In July and August this guest room is unavailable, but you can contact the Conference Office via conferences@queens.ox.ac.uk to check Bed and Breakfast availability at discounted Old Members rates. Do be sure to let The Old Members Office know if you are dropping in to College, as we d love to catch up with you. To buy merchandise... The College offers a number of Queen s items, including ties, cufflinks, port, mugs and even shot glasses! You can order merchandise by contacting our Office. DID YOU KNOW? You can update your contact details any time at www.queens.ox.ac.uk/update-my-details. The Old Members Office can assist in reconnecting with old friends. We will be happy to pass messages on your behalf to friends and former tutors. All arts and humanities graduates can receive their MA from the University seven years after matriculation. You can apply by visiting www.tinyurl.com/queenscollegema. There are a number of internal College events that Old Members are welcome to join, including music recitals, services and plays keep an eye on the College website at www.queens.ox.ac.uk/ events.
