Technical Stock Market and Stock Analysis UCLA Extension Date: February 4, 2012 Duration: Instructor: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Andrew Lais Investment Executive and General Principal Course Topics and Aim: This course explores price and trading volume movements on various types of charts, including line, bar, candlestick, Point & Figure and Renko charts. You ll review annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly, daily and intra-day time segments. You are introduced to the most common technical indicators and oscillators and compare them on long-term versus short-term and ultra short-term charts. Topics include: the basics of support and resistance levels, momentum buying, selling pressures, Fibonacci levels, regression channels, utilized in pinpointing entry and exit points. Also covered are risk/reward ratios, entry/exit patterns, and dynamic stop-loss orders and how to set realistic price targets. You will leave this class knowing what technical tools to look for and where to get the information from.
