We are looking for fine craftsmanship and delightful interactions and experiences for the patrons. Vendors who wish to participate in a raffle or "passport" program mark it in the notes of your application Selection will be based on originality, quality, presentation, and the number of exhibitors allotted to each category. Deadlines: Applications close May 31, 2018, and are accepted on a rolling basis. Applications sent by May 31st will be notified no later than 6/14 via email. All applications received after 6/15 deadline will be considered on a case-by-case basis. We may take applications after the May 31st deadline depending on space available. Non-compliance with any of the conditions will result in 1.First Offense- "Notice of Violation being issued with correction required within the time frame set forth 2by the inspecting fire official. 2. Second Offense-Operations shut down until such time the violation is cleared. 3. Third Offense- Vendor removed from the event.

I am fully aware of the risks involved and hazards connected with the Grass Valley Thursday Night Market and I hereby elect to voluntarily participate in the event with full knowledge that said doings may be hazardous to me and my property. 4 VENDOR CATEGORIES/INFORMATION Arts/Crafts Handcrafted items that are 100% produce, crafted or created by the applying vendor. Prepared Foods/Food vendors Any business serving and preparing foods that are intended for consumption while visiting the market (pizza, hot dogs, wraps, popcorn, ice cream, burritos, tacos etc.) Required permits: Nevada County Health Permit (mobile facility or temporary food facility PRE-APPROVED) Nevada County site evaluation form for event coordinator package (see market manager) Completed menu of all items to be sold Food Products Items that are pre-packaged (i.e. non certified jams and jellys, hydrated meats, sauces, and other foods bearing a label. All Vendors must be in compliance with the governing agencies and have proper permits in good standing before applying to vend. Vendors selling only pre-packaged, non-potentially hazardous or processed foods may be covered under the GVDA event permit and may not be required to apply for a Nevada County Health Dept. permit but may still need the processed food registration and seller permit. All pre-packaged food items must be labeled with the following: name of product, name and address of producer, ingredients and weight. Certified Growers Farms that grow/raise their own fruits, vegetables, herbs, wine grapes, flowers, plants, chicken, cattle, eggs etc. Required permits Certified Producers Certificate (CPC) from the County Dept. of Agriculture Organic Producers/Handlers/ Processors Registration from the state of California Dept. of Food and Agriculture if products will be labeled organic. State of California Processed Food Registration (PFR) Required for growers selling pre-packaged, non-potentially hazardous or processed foods (i.e. nuts, jams, salsa, etc.) processed using their own certified produce. State of California Egg handlers Registration Form- if eggs will be sold. FMNP/WIC certification (WIC ID# must be provided on the application) Non-profit organizations Groups with a designated 501 (C) who wish to sell promotional items, tickets or distribute information at the market. Young Entrepenuer Students Ages 17 and under BID Business owners in Downtown Grass Valley automatically become members when fees are paid during the business license process through the City of Grass Valley. BID Associate Members: Associate Members are individuals from the community who do not own a business in the Historic Downtown area. By becoming a Associate Member you get access to GVDA meetings, newsletters, your business is posted on our website and more. 10 SALES TAX: Vendor will be solely responsible for any and all sales, use, or other taxes, fees, permits, and surcharges imposed by any federal, state, county, or municipality in connection with the fulfillment of the Vendor's obligations under the this Agreement and any other agreements. RESERVATIONS AND SPACE ASSIGNMENTS : All vendors applications will be carefully reviewed upon receipt. Vendors whose participation will be an enhancement to the market will be invited to participate. Space assignments will be made in a manner that will ensure the viability of the market and the diversity of the marketplace. It is important for all the applicants to understand that acceptance is not guaranteed, regardless of past participation. Incomplete applications or those missing required permits will not be processed until all required items are submitted, including booth space fees and any applicable permits. Selection of market vendors is at the discretion of the TNM manager. The manager reserves the right to refuse or assign space at any time. Space is assigned based on many factors including booth presentation/product appeal, type of vendor logistics etc. If application is accepted and space is not immediately available, vendors will be placed on a waiting list and contacted when an opening becomes available. All vendor merchandise MUST be PRE-APPROVED no exceptions. REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT RULES To be eligible for refund of your deposit you must show up for each night that you are scheduled for, you must clean up your area, taking all trash with you each night and follow ALL market rules. If a cancellation MUST be made, you must notify the office no later than Monday by 3PM of the market week. More than one cancellation or absence will result in loss of space and fees. Sharing booth space with other vendors is prohibited UNLESS pre-approved by the market manager-gvda. By signing the application above, you agree to the terms, rules and conditions set forth by the market manager. You understand that failure to comply will result in a loss of space and NO REFUND will be issued. Booth space must be maintained in a clean and sanitary condition. All trash, trimmings, wrappings, containers, produce and equipment MUST be removed when leaving at the end of the event. Vendors may not utilize public receptacles for disposal. Electricity MUST be requested at the time of application and will be considered but not guaranteed. Vendors may not provide music or entertainment in booths unless prior approval of the market manager has been granted. NO PETS, NO SMOKING: DOWNTOWN GRASS VALLEY IS A SMOKE-FREE ENVIRONMENT. NO SMOKING WILL BE PERMITTED. VENDORS VIOLATING THIS RULE WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE AND NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. Thank you for your interest in participating.
