MetaTrader 4 for Android powered devices is a platform for mobile trading and you are able to trade CFDs on forex, commodities, indices and shares. The application allows you to connect to the FXB Trading live and demo servers, so that you can view prices, charts, trade and view the history of your trade operations. This is available from anywhere in the world absolutely free of charge. 1. DOWNLOAD AND INSTALLATION In order to start trading from your mobile device, download the MetaTrader 4 Android application from the FXB Trading website or from Google Play store. After installation, run the application by selecting the icon to start. Log in to an account After the MT4 app has been started, the New Account login screen should appear. During the first start of the application you will be offered the following options: Start without registration open a demo account quickly without entering personal details. The new account will be opened instantly and connected. Your login and password will be sent to the internal mailbox. Open a personal demo account select this option if you want to open a new demo account. 3
Log in to an existing account select this option if you have an existing account with FXB Trading. If you already have an existing MT4 account with FXB Trading, choose the trading server by typing FXBTrading - FXBTrading-Live or FXBTrading-Demo. Select the server, enter your current account number and password and click login. 4
2. QUOTES Use Quotes to view real-time pricing information on financial instruments. In the price quotes section, you can view current quoted rates for every currency pairs, and you can manage and display the currency pairs of your choice by tapping the + button. This will direct you to Add Symbol page where you can choose forex or CFD instruments. If there are certain instruments you would like to trade with, just tap the symbol and it will disappear instantly from the list. It will instead be shown on the Quotes page, which allows you to trade and view the market chart. You can also find the currency pair you want by entering the symbol of the instrument. 5
By tapping on any currency pair from the Quotes list, you will see a pop-up box with four options of New order, Open chart, Symbol properties and Simple view mode. New order place a trade for chosen currency pair Open chart bring up market chart for chosen currency pair Symbol properties show details of your chosen currency pair such as margin requirements and swap points Simple view mode show symbols only without the last updated time and spread information underneath 6
Adding Symbols To add a new symbol, tap at the top of the window, select a group of symbols. To find the required symbol quickly, use the search bar at the top of the page. Press, enter the required symbol and tap Enter on your keyboard. To add a symbol, tap on its line. 7
3. CHART A chart shows price changes over time. To switch to this tab, use the side or the bottom panel of the MetaTrader 4. Chart Opening To open a chart of a financial instrument, run the Chart menu command in the Quotes tab. Chart Period In the MetaTrader 4 for Android, you can view 9 chart timeframes: from 1 minute (M1) to one month (MN). Use the radial menu in order to switch between the timeframes. How to place a trade You can place a trade either by selecting menu on your phone and then selecting the New Order option, or by clicking on the instrument you wish to place a trade for via the Quotes screen. By choosing New Order, you can place a trade for selected currency pair. You can choose the volume, instrument, and type of order. At the end of this page, there is a red Sell button and a blue Buy button. When you tap on one of those buttons, your order will be executed. The details of your order will appear straightaway in the top of the page along with the price 8
you entered the market at. Select Done to go back to the chart tab, or Back to place another order. 9
4. TYPE OF ORDERS The MetaTrader 4 mobile platform allows FXB Trading s clients to execute trading operations. In addition, the platform allows you to control and manage open positions. For this purpose, several types of trade orders are used. In the platform, there are two main types of orders: market and pending. Besides them there are Stop loss and Take profit orders. Market Orders A market order is a type of order where an order is executed at current market price to buy or sell a financial instrument. Pending orders A pending order is a type of order to buy or sell a security in future under pre-defined conditions. Types of pending orders are: Buy limit a trade request to buy at the Ask price which is equal to or lower than that which is specified in the order. The current price level is greater than the value in the order. Normally this order is placed in expectation that the security price, having fallen to a certain level, will increase. Buy stop a trade order to buy at the Ask price equal to or higher than the one specified in the order. The current price level is less than the value in the order. Normally this order is placed in expectation that the security price, having reached a certain level, will keep on increasing. 10
Sell limit a trade order to sell at the Bid price equal to or higher than the one specified in the order. The current price level is less than the value in the order. Normally this order is placed in expectation that the security price, having increased to a certain level, will fall. Sell stop a trade order to sell at the Bid price equal to or lower than the one specified in the order. The current price level is greater than the value in the order. Normally this order is placed in expectation that the security price, having reached a certain level, will keep on falling. Setting Stop Loss & Take Profit (Modify order) To take profit & stop loss, just tap the area and manually input your take profit/stop loss. 11
Position Closing To close the position, you have to tap Close position in its context menu on the Trade tab. When you tap Close by Market, the position will be completely closed. 12
5. HISTORY On this tab you can view the history of trade operations performed on a trading account. To switch to this tab, use the application side panel that opens when you tap on There are three operation viewing modes, including Orders, Deals, and Positions. You can change between them at the bottom of the tab. 13
6. INDICATORS FOR TECHNICAL ANALYSIS A technical indicator is a mathematical transformation of a security price and/or volumes intended to forecast future price changes. You may add up 30 different technical indicators on the chart. 14
Tap Indicators to add or modify indicator or tap located at the bottom of the chart screen to add or modify indicator. Tap to add an indicator to Main window or Indicator window. Select a technical indicator from the Indicators list to apply to the chart. When an indicator has been selected, you can customize the properties of the indicator. Tap Done and the selected indicator will be applied to the chart. 15
