To stop service Fill out Stop Service online form and hit Submit at the bottom of the page. 866-747-0493 DEPOSIT Indian Hills does not at this time require a deposit to receive services, however, if a customer has failed to pay an undisputed bill on or before the delinquent date for 5 billing periods out of 12, or service has been discontinued for non -pay, Indian Hills may require a deposit of an amount equal to 1 billing period plus 30 days usage. https://indianhills.secure.munibilling.com HOW TO READ YOUR METER Your water meter will most likely be found in the ground outside your home unless you live in an apartment building. It may be difficult to open your inground water meter and may be even more difficult to close and reseal it properly. We ask that customers protect these meters from damage and tampering; keeping the lid securely sealed will prevent freezing and damage. Customers are responsible for the cost of repairing any damage to the water mains, meters, and meter installations caused by you, your agent (including your plumber) or tenant. Your water meter is most likely an odometer type meter very similar to the odometer in your car and it reads the very same way. It will have a series of numbers in a small window and shows the water usage in cubic feet. Write down the numbers you see on the meter and subtract the previous meter reading to get the water usage in cubic feet. If you discover a large discrepancy between the meter reading you take and the one shown on your bill, call the customer service number at 866-747-0493. We make every effort to obtain an accurate reading; however there are times, for example in bad weather, when we may have to estimate usage. If we have to estimate usage, we will let you know on your billing. As soon as possible (within three months) we will adjust your bill to reflect the actual meter reading. Call the customer service number to check on the amount of water usage for the previous months or to find out what you owe or what you ve paid in previous months. Your billing representative is available to help you if you need information about your account. If you live in an apartment, contact your landlord for the location of your meter. If you leave your residence for an extended period and wish to avoid discontinuation of service you may forward your mail or sign up for automatic payment. 3

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) regulates Indian Hills Utility Operating Company, Inc. (Indian Hills) in its efforts to keep your water clean and your water system functioning. Passage of several significant federal environmental laws including the National Environmental Policy Act, the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act helped build a foundation for protection of Missouri s natural resources and led the Missouri Legislature to create the Missouri Department of Natural Resources in 1974. The Missouri DNR in conjunction with the US Environmental Protection Agency has established guidelines, processes, and inspection and permitting procedures which regulate utilities providing drinking water. Indian Hills follows the guidelines of Missouri DNR to ensure that the water that you drink is clean and free of contaminants. The Department of Natural Resources Public Drinking Water Branch sets limits and monitors for contaminants; issues permits for new and existing public water systems; certifies drinking water treatment and distribution operators; supports and promotes water system security; provides support for improving technical, managerial, and financial capacity and provides funding opportunities for water system improvements. The Missouri DNR provides Consumer Confidence Reports (CCR) to consumers which gives information on specific water systems. This report lets you know if your water system had any violations within the last year and tells you what contaminants were found in the water, if any. The report is compiled from water testing done throughout the year at each facility; the Indian Hills facility CCR is available at: www.dnr.mo.gov/ccr/mo6036052.pdf or on the Indian Hills CSWR website: http://www.centralstateswaterresources.com/communities/indian-hills/ The Department of Natural Resources also provides a number of educational and technical services designed to help individuals, groups and businesses better understand our natural resources and the rules that exist to protect them. It maintains a vast amount of information available to the public in the form of fact sheets, guidance documents, geologic maps, technical books and publications. Call 314-736-4672 for information and/or testing analysis or contact the Missouri DNR at 800-361-4827. For more information Missouri Department of Natural Resources P.O.
