World economy China s growth looks set to cool further in coming months, with a barrage of August economic data doing little to dispel views that domestic demand is softening and government support measures will take some time to kick in. Japan upgraded its assessment of capital expenditure for the first time in nine months as companies ramp up spending on equipment and software to better cope with growing labour shortages. Oil prices have risen back to levels that earlier this year prompted U.S. President Donald Trump to take to Twitter and demand OPEC do more to bring them down. Asian companies posted their lowest profit growth in nearly two years in the June quarter and earnings are likely to come under further pressure, weighed down by the escalating U.S.-China trade war and high currency volatility, an analyses showed. Production at factories in the euro zone dropped in July for a second consecutive month and by more than expected, in what could herald a possible slowdown of the bloc s economy in the third quarter, official data released on Wednesday showed. Current news Indian economy Indian refiners will cut their monthly crude loadings from Iran for September and October by nearly half from earlier this year as New Delhi works to win waivers on the oil export sanctions Washington plans to re-impose on Tehran in November. India's wholesale inflation eased at 4.53 percent in August, driven by cheaper food items, especially vegetables, latest price data showed. India s industrial production growth fell to 6.6 percent in July as compared to a revised 6.9 percent in June, data released showed. It had expanded 1 percent in July last year. The June IIP figure has been revised from 7 percent earlier. India's exports grew by 19.21 percent to $27.84 billion in August on account of healthy performance by sectors such as petroleum. Markets regulator SEBI is looking to include nonresident Indians (NRIs) in the foreign portfolio investors category after they comply with specific Know Your Client (KYC) norms. Debt mutual funds witnessed an outflow of over Rs 6,800 crore by investors in August as yields hardened due to concerns on weakness in the rupee and rising oil prices and their impact on inflation and current account deficit (CAD).
